Adjectives related to death and dying:

 Fatal accident or illness= causes death.

 Go downhill = for an illness to get worse and worse .
 Terminal illness = can not be cured and about to die.
 Life limiting conditions = patients whose cases are so
fatal so they are not expected to continue living for a
long time.
 Comma= A state of unconsciousness that a patient can
not wake from.
 Life – support = Using medical machines like a
defibrillator ) ‫ جهاز اإلنع اش القل بي ( الرجف ان‬to keep the
patient alive.
 Pass away = to die ( politely )
 Mortuary ‫ =مستودع الجثث‬A room in the hospital where
dead bodies are taken and stored.
 Post- mortem‫ = تشريح بعد الوفاة‬To know how a person
die or was killed, an examination to the body is done.
 Burial ‫ =دفن‬Is to hide the dead body under dust.
 Cremation = burning the dead body.

It is a care hospital for children who are not expected to live

This hospital gives an affectionate care ‫ عناية حنينه‬for those

children through the following procedures.

 Children are not necessary stay at the hospital; they
may go to their houses with the company of the carer.
 The hospital gives respite care which allows the family
to have a break.
 In the a room called a multi sensory room ‫غرفة متعددة‬
‫ الحسيات‬the children can play video games , play with
touch screen computers , dance with dancing
wheelchairs and have music therapy ‫ العالج بالموس يقى‬.
Children can also record their own music.
 The services of the hospital extends to the family and
siblings after the death of their kids who were
suffering from ( Life limiting conditions). The hospice
supply bereavement programs ‫ب رامج التغلب على الش جن‬
‫والحزن الناجم من فقدان المتوفى‬.
