“Cat Person” is a tale by Kristen Roupenian about Margot, a 20 years old woman who

met Robert, thirty-four-year-old man, at a concession stand in an artsy Movie Theater. Both had

a friendly interaction, and Robert could get the number of Margot in the banter. The story

continues as they texted for several weeks and went out, which led to lousy sex that made

Margot break up with Robert through a text (Bonos, 2017). After a month, they met at a bar

where Roberts insulted Margot and called her a whore. This text intends to share an article that is

directly related to the story cat person with a brief explanation of the reasons for choosing the

themes and lessons learned from the article's author.

The piece titled "Why 'Cat Person,' a New Yorker short story, is essential reading for this

#MeToo moment" by Lisa Bonos is the article to be shared with peers. THE article describes

why the cat person story has become such a firestorm, and viral amongst people is the article to

be shared with peers (Bonos, 2017). The article clearly describes why the story went viral and

related to people in the current generation. This will help other peers understand the relationship

between the level and the current norm in society. For instance, according to Bonos (2017), most

women find themselves in A situation where they experience lousy sex but can't say no. For

example, Margot was not attracted to Robert, and she couldn't stop the sex as she felt like she

was the one initiating the sex. The author taught me that listening to women's sex stories is

essential, most certainly when they didn't dare to say no. This will help women empower them to

have the courage to say no to nasty sex and encourage the sex they desire without being insulted.
