INTRODUCTION:

Salutation: Good Afternoon to our thoughtful teacher, Sir Mark and to our
attentive classmates.

Attention getter: Poverty, Unemployment, Injustices, Crimes, Drugs, Corruption

etc. These are just some of the Nation’s most rampant societal issues that the
government can’t resolve or can’t seem to end the continuous cycle. Harry Emerson
Fosdick once said that, “Democracy is based upon the conviction that there are
extraordinary possibilities in ordinary people.” The time has come that we can exercise
our power to vote and create a big change. 2022 Elections are approaching. We as our
country’s citizens should know and be aware of this, for us to fully participate, have our
voice heard and develop the change we always asked for, since the beginning.

Overview: This afternoon, we will present the reasons why we need to vote, how
our votes can create a huge change and the importance of voting to us, citizens, as well
as to our beloved country.

BODY:
Point/Argument #1 : Reasons why we need to vote
Supporting Details:
● Voting is our way of having a say.
● Voting is our responsibility and duty as a citizen of our
country.
● Others don’t have the privilege so make the decision to vote
for yourself and those around you.
● You are voting for the nation’s future.
● History doesn’t have to repeat itself.
● Voting is an opportunity and a non-violent way to make a
change.

Point/Argument #2: How our votes can create a huge change

Supporting Details:

● One vote, when added to others, can either deepen our

nation’s dilemma or light the torch in order to be light in the
midst of darkness.
● A single vote has the power to create millions of possibilities
and changes in our country.
● Your vote helps decide who will be the winner of the
election, the next leader who will lead our nation.
Point/Argument #3: Importance of voting to us, citizens, as well as to our
beloved country.
Supporting Details:
● The people we elect make huge decisions that shape/affect
our lives daily.
● Voting for a deserving and responsible leader to lead our
country can give us the betterment we want; better
healthcare, education, childcare, fairer taxation, basic
income for all, better roads and transport, better local
amenities, etc.
● Who we vote represents us and our country.
● We exercise our right to vote, for as a democratic country,
we are the one who choose our leaders.

CONCLUSION:
Our country's destiny is determined by the leaders who shape it and the society
that exists inside it. We, as young citizens, have been entrusted with this such a big
responsibility. Use it and do so wisely because the development of the country lies in
your hands. Let us all remember what Balse J. Cupich said, "We are a democracy, and
we get the leader that we deserve because we select them." Are you ready to be part of
the change or would you rather waste the chance given to us and wait for another six
years to make it happen? The choice is up to you, your vote, your voice, so make sure
to make it count!
