Module 4 First Voyage Around the World Reinforcement 4.

A.) Between Raja Zula and Lapu-Lapu, what do you think were their negative
traits?

 These two heroes/chiefs were having their own technique on how they
fought for both sides to protect and do what they need to do. We can use
this to relate it into our personal lives. We are willing to do what is right,
not only for ourselves, but only for others. Lapu-Lapu was the leader of
Mactan in Visayas. He was the first hero in the Philippines that represent
the flag of our country, loyalty and even love. Cilapulapu was the first
individual who fought for the country and to give what we deserve. On the
other hand, Raja Zula was also a chief from Mactan, Cebu. Both of them
was a hero in their prime, but each of them has a different attitude on how
they welcome Magellan and his crew.

 The two leaders held differently regarding the Spanish who invaded
the country to assimilate the people into their lives. Lapu-Lapu or also
known as Cilapulapu consists of some bad attitude nor negative traits to
Magellan and his company. He has the attitude of being stubborn and a
proud leader of the Philippines who refused to bow down when there is
another leader. In the simplest way of representing, he doesn’t like to have
some talk and gatherings with different chief. But if we observe completely,
Lapu-Lapu was a “benevolent ruler of the Visayan people and a victorious
defender of our homeland and the first Asian to withstand colonial forces”.
On the other side, Raja Zula, was the one who helped Magellan and his
men to kill Lapu-Lapu. These two chiefs in Mactan were having some
discussions that led into their bad traits and terms for each other. They
were probably fighting over to figure out who should be considered as the
most powerful leader in the island. When Zula saw the presence of the
Spaniards, he knew that it was his chance to get rid and kill Lapu-Lapu.
