The

Fukushima nuclear disaster was happened in

2011. It was a nuclear accident at the Fukushima
Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Ōkuma,
Fukushima, Japan. It happened due to the Tōhoku
earthquake and tsunami in 2011. It was classified
as Level 7 on the International Nuclear Event
Scale (INES) as its said to most dangerous
nuclear disaster since the Chernobyl disaster in
1986. the radiation released into the atmosphere
days after the accident forced the government to
declare a large evacuation zone around the plant,
it was the evacuation zone with a 20 km
radius. The 154,000 residents had to evacuate
from the communities surrounding the plant
because of rising levels of ambient ionizing
radiation  by airborne radioactive contamination
from the damaged reactors. Into the Pacific
Ocean, large amounts of water contaminated with
radioactive isotopes were dumped after and during
the disaster. Fukushima power plant's reactor
buildings were damaged by hydrogen explosions
due to ghe tsunami and earthquake and in 2011.
One positive aspect of the Fukushima Daiichi
nuclear disaster is that a renewed public support
for the commercialization of renewable energy
technologies came. a bill to subsidize electricity
from renewable energy sources was passed by the
Japanese Government in August2011. The steps
we can take to prevent a disaster like that by
stabilizing the electricity supply system,Install
filtered vent systems, Prevent sabotage at nuclear
facilities,Ratify a treaty to prohibit military attacks.
