Installation, operation and repair instruction

PLS make sure to read the instruction carefully before the unit
installation, operation and repair, my company will not be responsible for
the unit damage which is caused by the user who use the wrong operation which
is not included in this instruction.

1
A. Cautions for safety……Be sure to follow them
Read this section carefully before use and operate the unit properly

Generally
Refrigerant are colourless and invisible gasses, which are heavier than air and
smell faintly of chloroform at high concentrations only. Under normal operating
conditions they are non-toxic, non-inflammable, non-explosive and
non-corrosive. When heated to above approx. 300℃ they break down into
toxic, acid gas components, which are strongly irritating and aggressive to nose,
eyes and skin and generally corrosive. Besides the obvious risk of unnoticeable,
heavy gases displacing the atmospheric oxygen, inhalation of larger
concentrations may have an accumulating, anaesthetic effect which may not be
immediately apparent. 24 hours medical observations are, therefore
recommended.
Warning and caution
The caution shown here are classified into the following two categories
! WARNING: indicate a potentially hazardous situation which can result in
death or serious injury if the unit is used improperly.
! CAUTION: indicate a potentially hazardous situation which can result in
injury or property damage if the unit is used improperly. It may
lead to serious results depending on the case.
Both describe important items to be followed for safety. After reading it, keep it
in such a place that a person who use the unit can refer to it at any time. If the
operation of the unit is to be taken over by another person, be sure to hand this
manual to that person.

4. Running test
(1) Check the unit before the running
A Check if the power wiring diagram is right and if the power supply can meet

7
the need of the unit, by which to ensure the unit is with good earth protection.
B For the air duct air supply unit, it is need to ensure the valve of the air pipe
system is open.
C The packed unit should be confirmed the water valve is open and with
enough water pressure, and the inlet water temp is within the normal range.
D. For the split unit, the air inside the connection pipe between the inside
unit and the outside unit should be draw off(if the inside and the outside unit
has both been charged with refrigerant, then there is no need to draw off the
air), also, the connection valve should be open.
(2) The packed unit test running
After having make sure the whole system has been check and meet the need,
then the whole unit test running can be started
A. Connect the unit power, preheat the unit by 6-8 hours
B. Turn the fan switch to ON to run the fan, cause the unit is without the phase
order protection, after the fan runs, the user should listen carefully to check if the
fan and the compressor is with the right sound, if the sound is abnormal, then it is
need to check if the fan is in the reverse rotation, if yes, then the phase order
should be adjusted and restart the unit.
C. Turn the mode to cooling, let the compressor to start after 30 seconds relay.
Before the unit leaves the factory, the temp controller has been set to 22C, the
temp below 20C is not allowed so as not to reduce the cooling performance which
is caused by the low evaporating temp.
D. When it is need to turn to the heating mode, the user should turn the mode
to OFF, after 3 minutes then turn it to heating mode, by which to protect the mode
switch from damage.
E. Check if the temp inside the room is OK, if it is always OK in the first test
running day, then it can be normally used.
F. The shutdown process: take the mode switch in the OFF position, then the
fan switch turn to OFF position.(when the unit is shut at heating mode, The fan will
stop running after the electric heating off 3 minutes.
(3) Split unit running test

8
A. The connection between the inside unit and the outside unit should be used
by the break valve.
B. After the inside unit and the outside unit has been connected, the air inside
the connected copper tube should be draw off.
C. After the air has been draw off, the break valve of the inside unit and the
outside unit should be open.
D. Connect the unit power
E. Turn the mode to the cooling pattern, the compressor will be started after 30
seconds relay, then the unit will be in the cooling mode. The value of the temp
controller on the control panel has been set to 22 degree before the unit leave the
factory, the temp below 20 degree is not allowed so as to prevent the system from
corrupt which is caused by the very low evaporating temp.
F. When the heating mode is needed, the user should turn the switch to off,
after 3 minutes, then turn to the heating mode, by which can protect the mode
switch from damage.
G. Check if the temp of the room can meet the standard, after one day test
running and make sure the running is OK, then it can be normally used.
H. The shutdown process: take the mode switch in the OFF position, then the
fan switch turn to OFF position.(when the unit is shut at heating mode, The fan will
stop running after the electric heating off 3 minutes.

Attention: Before the split unit leave the factory, the inside unit and
the outside unit has been charged with refrigerant, PLS make sure to draw
off the air inside the connection pipe between the inside unit and the outside
unit, before open the unit, PLS also make sure the break has been open.

5. Refrigerant charge
The units are shipped fully charged with refrigerant ready for operation.

6. Warning
Never use the compressor as a vacuum pump.
Never charge liquid into the low-pressure side of the system.
Do not overcharge.

D: Repair and maintenance

! WARNING
● When improvement or repairing is necessary, ask your dealer

to do such work.
If improvement or repairing is performed improperly, water leakage, electric shock or
fire is caused.

● If any abnormality (smelling something burning, etc.) is found,

turn OFF the power and contact your dealer.

If the unit is operated with such abnormality left, failure, electric shock or fire is
caused.

! CAUTION

ATTENTION: Before starting any service or maintenance operation

on the unit, make sure that the power supply has been disconnected.

A an electric discharge could cause personal injury.

12
Pls finish the steps as follows before repair and maintenance:
Keep the unit cabinet and the area around the unit as clean as possible,
Remove all debris.
Wipe down all piping with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. If this is done
regularly, leaks will be spotted more easily and repaired before damage is
done to the system.
Check the tightness of all bolts, nuts screws and flanges. Correctly fastened
hardware prevents damaging vibration, leaks and noise.
Ensure that all expanded rubber gaskets, foam insulation, panel insulation, etc.
are in place and in good condition.
Check supply voltage and all electrical wiring, contactors and relays.
Stop the compressor when adjust the expansion valve.

1. CLEANING:Every month
Check and clean the air filters (if necessary).
Check and tighter the v-belts.
Check and clean the tubes of the sea water condenser

2.Cleaning the air filter

The air filter is attached to remove dust and dirt from the air and distribute cool,
clean air. If the air filter is left uncleaned for a long time, it will be clogged and air
flow through it will be reduced, cooling/heating efficiency impaired, the evaporator
surface forsted, and cause trouble with the air conditioner.

The air return filter net should be clean at least one time per three month, in the
dirty condition, it need to be cleaned frequently.

3. Evaporator
Evaporator need to clean at least every three months. On dirty environment you
need to clean it more frequently. Because if too dirty it will lead to inefficient
operation. Using a special air-conditioning cleaner, it consists of organic emulsifier,
penetrating agent, bactericide, surfactants etc, with sterilization, cleaning,

13
deodorizing effect, so it can effectively prevent air conditioning disease.
energy-saving and consumption-reducing, prolong the service life of the air
conditioner, avoiding water washing thoroughly. Method of use: open the indoor
machine cover, remove filter cleaning, shake the air-conditioning cleaner
repeatedly, then uniformly spray on the fins, air-conditioning cleaner will
automatically foam, foam is automatic away after 10-20 minutes of emulsification,
cleaning, sterilization. Mount filter has been cleaned, and cover the access panel.
Let the air conditioning working for 30-40 minutes, dirt flow automatically from the
outdoor drain pipe. The whole process is simple and convenience, needn’t water
washing,

4.Cleaning the exterior of the air conditioner

Lightly wipe the exterior of the air conditioner with a dry, soft cloth If it is very dirty,
use a soft cloth soaked in water of neutral detergent.(cautions)
1. Don’t pour water directly on the air conditioner to clean it.
2. Don’t wash the air conditioner with water over 50℃, or it may be deformed or
discoloured.
3. Don’t use gasoline, benzene, thinner, polishing compound, etc, when cleaning
the air conditioner or spray liquid insecticide over it.

5.Cleaning the drain pan

The drain pan gathers dust when the air conditioner is used for a long time, and
clogs the drain pipe, If the drain pipe is clogged, water may overflow outside the
unit, so clean the drain pan once every three months.

7. Replacement of fuse
When the fuse is blown, never replace it with wire or copper wire.
Be sure to sue a proper fuse for the specified ampere.

7.Maintenance for Condenser

Cleaning period of the cooling tubes of the condenser differs more or less with
quality of sea water and operation period. However, inspect it at least once every
three months by opening the head and rear covers of the condenser If necessary,
clean the cooling tubes.
Be sure to turn off the power switch for pump before cleaning it.

8.Maintenance before prolonged idle period

1. Operate the fan only for half a day to dry out the inside.
2. Be sure to turn off the power switch.
3. Extract all water from the condenser cooling tubes, If water remains in the
piping, it may be frozen in cold weather and the pipe damaged.
4. Clean the drain pan and drain pipe.
5. If the unit has been stopped for a long time, it need to be preheat for 3-4 hours
then the unit can be started.

14
9.Lubrication to the fan bearing
For smooth fan rotation, lubricate the fan bearing regularly.
Lubrication period… Once every two months.

10.Adjusting fan belt tension

If the fan belt is loose, it slips and airflow is reduced. Furthermore, loosening of
the fan belt may cause vibration and noise. The fan belts are apt to stretch when
they are new, so adjust them correctly.
Note that the fan shaft should run parallel to the motor shaggy when adjusting
the belts .
When the front panel of the casing is removed, the fan belts can be seen.
The belt for the fan motor should be check monthly . when the belt is not
fixed, it need to be adjusted.
V belt tension is correct if the V belt slack is about 10 mm when pressed lightly
with a finger.
Fingers touch on the V-belt, belt tension means by a static Newton belt tension
under the pressure of radial deflection of belt, belt height of approximately 10
mm is acceptable. you can get the strength of N and radial height through the fan
belt selection software. If the same strength, radial height is more than 10 mm,
pls increase the center distance L to H=10 mm; Or the radial height of less than
10 mm, to reduce the center distance L to H=10 mm. Generally life of the belt
can be 2~3 years, but if the environment is harsh you need to shorten the use
cycle, to avoid the operation danger.
The belt tension diagram as follows:

If there is no belt test tools, the user should adjust the belt until there is no
abnormal sound.

11.Additional tightening of the electric system.

Additionally tighten the following points.
1. Each terminals inside the electric box.
2. Each terminal in the convert switch
3. Power source terminal.
4. In particular, inspect the parts which are subject to big current.
Clean off dust from the contact points of the magnetic switch.

15
12.Inspection of each bolt for loosening, additional tightening

and inspection for gas leakage.

Loosening of bolts through the refrigeration system may cause gas leakage and
loosening of other bolts cause noise, so carefully check all bolts for loosening,
and additionally tighten them if necessary.
Inspect the refrigeration system for gas leakage at the same time.

13.Recording operation condition

Record operation conditions such as power source voltage, condenser water
temperature and room temperature. Such records will help to find cause of
trouble in the future.
