LESSON 6: SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES

APPLICATION AND ASSESSMENT

1.PROPOSE or suggest a program or platform in school or in your community

that will raise the awareness of the students and to help eliminate sexually
transmitted diseases especially among the youth.

As a student I would like to promote a virtual training about the awareness for sexually transmitted
diseases. Due to the pandemic we are not able to meet in person so we are going to make us of the
technology. Well other might say that they don’t have internet or load or what so ever so we as the
trainers will be a fund raising and solicitations to provide for their loads so that they will join the special
trainings. We are going to invite some spoke persons with a lot of knowledge about the sexually
transmitted infections.

2. Which is the safest family planning method?

The safest family planning method is condoms, which are actually 98 percent effective but only 85
percent effective according to statistics because people are not very good and ignorant. The good thing
about condoms is that they are the only contraceptive that is perfect in not transmitting sexually
transmitted diseases like STD, HIV, and AIDS. Have you ever heard of the term ABSTINENCE? It is the
safest and most effective approach to avoid becoming pregnant and contracting sexually transmitted
illnesses. Simply said, abstinence is the act of saying no. ABSTINENCE, in a nutshell, is saying no to sex.
