Pabilin

Moira Dela Torre

Ipikit man ang mata't hilingin

S'ya'y amuhin at 'yong pakainin
'Di man natin gustuhin
Lagi mo s'yang pakinggan at lagi mong kakantahan

Story behind the song "Pabilin"

Moira Dela Torre has launched a double-track single called “Pabilin” featuring
stories of loss, regret, and acceptance in the songs “Pabilin” and “Pagitan.”

’Pabilin’ talks about making the most of our time with our loved ones, because we
don’t know much of it we really have.

“Pabilin” is from the perspective of the one who left containing a special message
to his loved one left behind.
Literary Approach
A psychological approach must be used to really understand what this song is
trying to portray since different interpretations can be extracted from the lyrics
depending on how you will relate yourself or your personal experiences to it. The
soul of this song is mainly about "losing someone" or "missing someone" who can be
someone you loved or yourself.
In my own opinion, I can relate to it because I can see myself talking to the
younger version of me, telling her to be strong and how proud I am for her being
able to conquer every high and low tides that she went through as she got older.
