GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT

ECOROTE Wind Turbines have been developed by the Polish team of prominent designers and
constructors from HIPAR, a Polish based company, in a close cooperation with the major Polish
institution specializing in aviation sector i.e. the Rzeszow University of Technology. PEZETEL Aviation
closely cooperates with HIPAR in the promotion and distribution of the wind turbines on foreign
markets, especially in the countries of Latin America.

Since 2004 HIPAR have become well-recognized production-trade enterprise providing a wide range
of selective products and services to the EU and Non-EU markets. Their flagship products among others
include: innovative vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT), photovoltaic trackers, pulleys to the
Volkswagen motors and other equipment for the major automotive producers such as Volvo,
Mercedes or BMW.

Daily cooperation with the best technological engineers allows the company to adopt their offer to
varied environmental conditions depending on a specific geographical location of the customer. In
2016 they installed the wind turbines even in such extreme conditions as the arctic zone on the North
Pole.

1.2. ADVANTAGES OF THE WIND TURBINES

 Polish product and engineering technology.

 Operation independent on the wind direction.
 Simple mechanical construction enabling failure-free operation. Generator that converts the
kinetic energy of wind into electricity has been created in such a way as to not have any friction
elements. Due to such a deliberate solution there is no need for additional services or
maintenance of this meaningful element of the turbine. Thus, the durability of the turbine is
predicted for 20 years of operation.

1
 High quality of manufacturing and applied materials. The blades of the turbine have been
made of extruded aluminum profile of seamless monolith construction that makes them
resistant to thermal expansion caused by heat. Moreover, a white, sunlight reflecting paint of
C5+M resistance class is applied on the turbines. In addition, to avoid corrosion the steel
elements are galvanized, whereas the aluminum parts are anodized.
 Resistance to strong wind.
 Aerodynamic shape of the blades.
 No overhauls required.
 Low starting speed i.e. 2 m/s.
 Operations at temperatures ranging from - 40°C to +70°C.
 Simple installation on buildings (hotels, shopping centers, offices, logistic parks etc.).
 Silent operation.
 Possibility to operate in on-grid/off-grid/hybrid systems.
 Possibility to use the blades for marketing purposes e.g. as a company logo.
 Varied possibility to match, mix and use the system (on/off-grid or hybrid).

1.3. APPLICATION OF TURBINES (DEPENDING ON THE SYSTEM INSTALLED)

On-grid System benefits:

One of the simplest and cheapest

solutions applied when a property
is connected to the power
network.

The system enables the use of

directly generated power and
resale of power in case of energy
surpluses or accumulation in the
power grid.

The system can be developed for

photovoltaic modules, thus
creating Hybrid systems.

In addition, batteries saving

surplus power may be installed, in
which case the system is suitable
even in case of frequent power
It is a simple system consisting of: a wind turbine of any
failures from the grid.
capacity, grid inverter, two-directional meter to measure the
power generated and consumed, security measures in the
form of circuit breakers and surge arresters, turbine breaking
resistor and connection to the power grid.

5. Water heater/ hot water/ heating; 6. Photovoltaic panels; 7. Generator (optional);
8. Switch / AC counter; 9. Network.

2
Off-grid System benefits:

Perfect solution for properties

which are not connected to the
power grid e.g. summer houses or
those who want to be completely
independent from power
suppliers.

Possibility for the extension of

photovoltaic panels (as in the On-
grid System).

No fear of power failure as the

system is connected to the
battery.

Due to the lack of the power grid, the system must have a
battery to store the surpluses of the energy generated and
does not need the two-directional meter. Therefore, there is
no possibility to resale the generated power to the grid.
Hybrid System benefits:

Solution combining the

advantages of On-Grid and Off-
Grid systems.

The system completely removes

the problem of power failure and
offers possibility to resale the
generated surpluses of energy.

The system may also output

energy to the grid when the
batteries are fully loaded and the
energy generated by the wind
turbine and the photovoltaic
panels is sufficient for the building
operation.
Firstly the system accumulates surplus energy in batteries and
uses the accumulated energy when the wind turbine
combined with the additional photovoltaic panels are not
generating enough energy, or uses the batteries in case of
complete grid failure. The battery of specific capacity takes
missing energy from the power grid through the system
controlling inverter as soon as the battery has been completely
discharged.

1) Please note that in most countries where turbines were installed, due to the cost efficiency reasons clients decide
to install the masts made of concrete on their own. In Poland the concrete structure is approx. 8 times cheaper than
the metal one. Before the order is realized the appropriate mast parameters (including size, weight, diameter, etc.)
will be recommended.

Notes:
1) The estimated output is calculated based on wind speed statistical distribution, typically used for such estimations.
2) The achieved output should be in the range of +30%/-30% of the estimated output, depending on the actual wind conditions.
3) The estimated output is calculated based on average wind speed applied directly to the turbine.
