In accordance with Section 18A of the Employment Act of Singapore (Chapter 91), you will be deemed to be employed by VDL with effect from the Effective Date. 4. You will receive a Letter of Offer of employment from VDL. 5. The employment offered by VDL is based on VDL's terms and conditions and will be no less favourable than ASM’s terms and conditions. 6. Should you choose to accept VDU's offer of employment, your record of employment with ASM will be transferred to VDL and your years of service with ASM will be recognised by ‘VDL. We will compensate you in cash for all holiday or leave entitlements that you may have accrued up to the Effective Date. Such accrued holiday or leave entitlements will not be transferred to your employment with VOL. For those employees who require a Work Permit or S Pass in order to be employed by VDL in Singapore, ASM and VDL will use its reasonable efforts to obtain a new Work Permit or S Pass, as the case may be.
