    • Design Language (Tim McCreight), Vocabulary

    Sketchbook/Journal: per Project


    • Research
    • Sketches of ideas and the development of the project
    • Material list
    • What is working and what is not working?
    • Problem solving
    • Writing about your concept

    Vocabulary:
    • Every Project - choose 6 different design words from the Design
    Language Book
    • Define the word – write the definition
    • Photocopy a 3D form, (sculpture or architecture) that illustrates the
    word or words and describe the corresponding visual.
    • Use your cell phone and take a picture of an example of the word and
    describe the visual. (1-2 sentences)

    The sketchbooks may be shared and encouraged for critiques.


    Sketchbooks will be 10% of your final course grade.
