Connector actual capacities, structural and for sealability, exceed the Pipe Body Ratings.
[15] Connector Bending capacity is matched to the Pipe Body Rating. Connector actual
capacity exceeds the Pipe Body Rating.
[16] Torque values are recommended for API Modified thread compound (Friction
Factor=1). Whenever a different thread compound is used, the corresponding correction
factor must be applied to torque values.
For not tested sizes, the following comment will be added to note [16]: “Torque values
specified were numerically estimated, to be confirmed by FST”.
[17] Maximum Operational Torque declared is an estimated value to be considered as
guidance. The actual Connector Yield Torque extensively exceeds the declared value.
