Activity 1. Personal Mission, Vision and Goals

As a student, make your own mission, vision and goals.

Mission
• My mission is to stay positive in the face of adversity, to recognize how fortunate I am in
my life, to live by my own principles, and to communicate through actions rather than
words

Vision
• Empowered to learn and achieve, to be exposed to high-quality teaching practices and
optimal learning environments that provide them with the knowledge, skills, and
dispositions for lifelong learning and the ability to shape the world around them

Goals
• My life goals are ultimately to achieve success. My goals are to be happy and prosperous
in all aspects of my life, as well as to have the freedom and peace of mind to carry out my
plans. My goal in college is to achieve the highest academic honors possible. I intend to
accomplish this by devoting my time to studying and taking my course work very
seriously
Activity 2.

1. How do you plan to achieve your goals?

•Many people feel as if they are on their own in the world. They put in a lot of effort, but
they often don’t get anywhere worthwhile.

One of the main reasons they think this way is that they haven’t spent much time thinking
about what they want out of life and haven’t set formal goals for themselves. After all, would
you embark on a major journey if you had no idea where you were going? Most likely not!

I simply plan my goals by considering what I want to accomplish first, and then commit to it.
Set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound) goals that inspires
me and write them down to make them feel real. Then, plan out the steps I’ll need to take in
achieving my goal, and cross them off as I go.
