When you read his two great novels, Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, you
would somehow feel the social cancer and subversion that personifies the entirety
of the novels. And in our present generation, these situations can still be seen and

For example, corruption and abuses of power are some problems that still exist until today.
On the other hand, the strength of character and nationalistic fervor of Jose Rizal along with his
struggles against the Spanish regime are also still be reflected in the actions of the Filipino
people in this present time.
His character of being able to firmly stand for what is the truth is still visible in the present-day
particularly the youth in this generation.
If we noticed, there are still young ones out there who were not afraid to voice out
their judgments and blatantly criticized the government if they happened to find
alarming issues that were in need to be addressed. [insert self vid]

Are you also one of the thousands of Filipinos who are wondering how would Jose
Rizal rule our country if he is alive today? [insert self vid]
If Jose Rizal were alive today, he will be known as a leader who has a distinctive strong
character and possess an absolute capability to lead the Filipino nation.
He will possibly rule our country with all confidence as a symbol of “hope and liberator” from
the oppressive, opportunist and corrupt officials. [insert self vid]
Knowing his passion for education, he will prioritize the development and support for the
educational system programs as a top priority on his agenda.
Also, with his admiration to youth, and great respect to women,he will surely empower both the
youth and women sector for social progress and standards of life.
Knowing Jose Rizal as an intelligent writer, he would solve possible conflict through diplomacy
and peace talks rather than solving it through violence and armed-related wars.
