Rent-A Bike

(Transport Marketing)

Playing on the local hiligaynon word, "renta" which means "to rent", Rent-A Bike aims
to provide biking or travel enthusiasts with bike transportation that they can use around from
small lengths like biking around the city of Bacolod to long journeys or "loops" involving
various places.

Biking has reached an unexpected height when the pandemic hit the country. When roads
became moderated and much clearer than the pre-pandemic times, people got a chance to
embrace this new hobby of riding their bikes to get from one place to another.

After reaching out to Wild Ride Siklista's very own, Trisha Cabanillas, one has concluded
bike renting to be a timely tourism boost.

According to Trisha, there are three main reasons to riding a bike: convenient
transportation, fun inducing rides, and racing.

Convenient transportation can be seen with everyday folks riding their bikes to work or to
see their peers. This comes at absolutely no-cost environment and health wise as bikes produce 0
emission and minimal noise pollution and give our bodies a chance to exert effort, break a sweat,
and stay fit regularly. Though this comes at a price of the speed not being as fast as motorcycles,
jeepneys, or private cars, it provides the upsides stated above.

Fun rides or ride loops cater to the endorphins and serotonins in our body. It allows
siklistas to get together with friends, make friends, and have fun while seeing sights and various
destinations while improving body endurance.

Racing on the other hand provides the healthy consequence of experience, credit, and
prize money. Racing or "lumba" has become another frequent event in the biking community
where trained bikers race a specific track to win.

Products

Our products would include top grade bikes that range from sizes that can cater to kids
below 12 years of age to adults. Common accessible brands would include Sunpeed,
Mountainpeak, Trek, Toseek, Tresl, Riot, Colt, S-Works. These are mainly mountain bike brands
that can be sourced from a local warehouse at an inventory price.

Sizes would be inclusive ranging from size 24 to size 29 medium for all kinds of bikers to
use. Rent-A Bike would also feature bike gears and apparel such as cleats shoes, non-cleat clip
shoes, biking jerseys, visors, lights, and most importantly, bike helmets.
This choice of product would be able to cater to those who cannot buy their own bikes or would
prefer to rent; are new to the city or are just passing by for a bike ride; and those who need new
experiences and parts; and of course, for the safety of riders.

Price

Our price range would entirely depend on the length of need for our products. Starting at a 12
hour price of Php150 to long term rides that start at 250 per day, we aim to provide our
customers with accessible, efficient, and affordability.

We would also care for promos during holidays and birthdays. Rent-A Bike enables celebrants to
get a 12-hour Rent-A experience entirely on us upon presentation of their birth certificate.

Promotion

We will utilize the convenience of social media for our launch. Doing the common works of
creating a page on Instagram and Facebook which will also serve as our customer service
platforms for any virtual needs, social media will also be used to feature people who utilize our
product.

Another way to promote would be to utilize the bikers that we already have in present in the city.
We can sponsor the following: a team jersey that they can use during rides, a photo or "pitik"
session that can happen at bike-hotspots where bikers frequent, and a participative race where the
Rent-A brand can be featured for all eyes to see.

Place

As established in the Promotion section of this write-up, we will be able to use our social media
platforms as our virtual location to capture every Rent-A experience.

Aside from that, we will be utilizing three common spots for our branches - these spots are where
bikers and biking-aspirants alike can immediately and easily visit; Near the North: Art District,
Mandalagan; Center Cycle: In the heart of Downtown Bacolod; Seeing the South: Manville
Subdivision.

How can Rent-A Bike be seen?

There are various factors that can deem my business or any other as successful and one can aim
to do that with the following strategies:

Advertising would include social media posts and ad posting that would easily be brought by the
algorithm to any biker's timeline. If not, we can always trust our local influencers such as
Lexplorations, Lagawander, and local bike vlogger Jez Mar, to provide a paid featurette that is
ideal for today's time.

Of course, not all the monetary investment can be dedicated to advertising. That is why we can
also feature people that choose Rent-A may it be during their races or daily rides. This in return
creates the experience of Rent-A being utilized and is therefore visible to the public's relationship
with each other.

Lastly, word of mouth. Going back to my quick chat with biker Miss Trisha, bikers trust each
other more than ad placements and cool flashy promos. May it be small things like bike parts or
big moves like switching from mountain bikes to road bikes, it is easier to trust your own people
and creating a good relationship with the biking community can provide many benefits such as
good credibility and reputation, free promotion, and attract more crowd.
