TRUTH IN THE WORD

No Matter what version of the Bible you read, you’ll get the main story and understanding from the
Holy Spirit as long as you depend on Him for the revelation. The words in the pages of our Bible
are human words used to help us gain access to the main theatre itself. It is like a ticket to the
theatre Hall of complete wisdom and understanding in the Holy Spirit. So the version of the Bible
you read doesn’t really matter as much as the source to which you’re getting the real experience
from, which should be the Holy Spirit. The words of God are true and perfect. No word God has
ever spoken was a lie (Romans 3:4), God is always true to us, so since His words are always true it
means they have been fulfilled or will be fulfilled. Because His words are true it means that they’re
reality or they become reality, just like it says He calls those things that be not as though they
were. He can do this because every word He speaks is always true and it brings about creation.
God’s words are so powerful in truth that when they are spoken, they are so powerful that they
make the supposed impossible, to become a reality. Everything in the word of God will and has
been fulfilled. None of His words come back to Him empty (Isaiah 55:11). Anything that has truth is
in a way a prophecy, because all truths always come to fruition. All truths always come to pass. If it
is not true, it can never come to pass. Only truths are being fulfilled.
So one might say, “ I see so many lies being fulfilled also”. True. There are lies that are being
spread around. But those lies can only last for a short period of time, they’ll eventually all die out
very quickly as they started because they have no life in them. Lies are only meant to slow down
truths, but they can never hold them for a long period because God’s words which are truths are
alive and they have the power of God in them. The same way God’s words are truths that bring
forth reality, the devil also speaks forth his words which are obvious lies, but he crafts them so well
to resemble the words of God that those who are not rooted deep in the truths of God will see
them and believe them as truths. Believing in the wrong truth is dangerous. The lies the devil tells
have the power to kill us if we don’t break hold of them. Some might say again “ since truths
always come to pass, why must I believe them, they’ll come to pass anyway”. Only the truths you
know, can save you. If you don’t know the truth for yourself, it can never set you free. Only the
truths you know can set you free. The only truth you should know and believe in is the word of
God(The Bible). Every knowledge or revelation you get from the Holy Spirit will always be rooted in
the word of God (The Bible).

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples
indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.””
John 8:31-32 NKJV

The first thing Jesus said was to abide in the word. So this is starting with the method to become
free. The method is by abiding. And not just abiding in anything, but abiding in the word of God.
When you abide in it, you’ll begin to know the truth and the truth you know has the power to
unbind you from whatever bondage you are in. You must know the truth first of all, then the truth
you now know is what will make you free. And some might still say, “how do we know what the
truth is”. Jesus told us what the truth is. Truth is the word of God. The word of God is truth. The
Bible is truth. So if you really want to know truth, there’s only one place to search, and that is the
word of God.

“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is
truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I
sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.”
John 17:16-19 NKJV
The word of God is the only sure truth we should know. If any so-called truth you hear or receive
does not align with the word of God, i assure you, that isn’t the truth. The only truth you should
believe should always be in agreement with the Bible. The importance of the word of God can
never be over emphasised. So many people are being lost in the lies that we hear all around us
from the media and even some so-called Bible believing Churches. I believe the great revival we
are all looking for is waiting to be made manifest in the very Bible that lies in all our hands, but the
problem is nobody really wants to study the word of God anymore for themselves. We would
rather prefer another person to read it and come tell us what He found-weather He or she is lying
doesn’t really matter to us anymore- and then we can apply them to our lives and somehow we
expect that those truths would just become manifest by hearing it alone from another persons
mouth. No it does not work that way. You have to know the truth for yourself. If you do not know it
for yourself, like really know it in our hearts and not just in our heads, it can never work for you.
Only the truth you know can set you free. Make it a habit to study and meditate on the word for
complete knowledge, wisdom and understanding to be made manifest. We are only sanctified
through the truth in the word of God.

The power of Truths (The Wisdom of God) and Love in God’s word brought about creation. He
spoke everything into existence. The power of God is in His words. When God speaks He won’t go
back on His word and that word which He spoke forth will always be fulfilled (Psalms 89:34). God is
a faithful God. Even when we fail in our words and deeds, He always remains faithful to His own
word. He never goes back on His word. God’s words can never be killed once they’re spoken forth.
“He call’s those things that be not, as though they were” (Romans 4:17). Let’s take one simple
example of this reality from the Bible. At the beginning of creation, God spoke light into existence
on the very first day of creation

“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good;
and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called
Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.”
Genesis 1:3-5 NKJV

Take note of this. This was the very first day of creation. He spoke light into existence.

“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the
night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in
the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. Then God made two great
lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars
also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the
day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So
the evening and the morning were the fourth day.”
Genesis 1:14-19 NKJV

And this is now the fourth day of creation. Someone who isn’t really paying attention to this would
wonder what the big deal is here, but you’ll see. On the first day of creation God created light and
then on the fourth day, He created a source for light to come from in the firmament of the heavens
and to give light here on earth. He made 2 lights, 1 to rule the day (sun) and another to rule the
night(moon). Some people think that the sun is what God created on the first day, but as we can
see from these verses that is not it. God spoke light into existence even before there was a source
for light to come from. That is the power in the word of God. He call’s those things that be not, as
though they were (Romans 4:17). God called light into existence even before He created the sun.
The sun is not the source of light for this world, God is the main source of light. God is the light of
the world. He is the Father of Lights. The sun is just one spot He put a little bit of that mighty power
in Him inside for it to give light to the earth. God’s word is life. It is Spirit and life. God’s words give
birth to reality. It is an incorruptible seed (1 Peter 1:23), once it enters the ground, it must bring
forth fruit.

God spoke light into existence even before there was a source for light to come from. There is
power in the word of God. If you need real victory in your life, that is the only way to achieve it, in
the word of God.

One very clear example we have of this principle of the power of truth is in the Life and Death of
Jesus Christ. All the things Christ went through here on earth were first of all spoken by God
through His prophets, right from the Old Testament. From the very time God created man and
man disobeyed Him, He had already prepared a way for us to be made right with Him through the
death of His son (Galatians 3:16). There was a question that I always asked myself, I always
wondered why God had to wait for a very long time before He sent Christ to come on earth. And
according to the Bible Christ came when the time had reached its fullness.

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under
the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”
Galatians 4:4-5 NKJV

Other versions say “at just the right time”. Christ came exactly when He was supposed to come. He
came at the right time. I always wondered why He couldn’t come earlier. Just the other day I was
listening to Andrew Wommack on Spotify and He said somethings that just made the whole
picture fit and it was like a light bulb went up in my head. It suddenly became real to me. Christ
actually came at the right time He was supposed to. God had to speak Christ into existence in this
world through the words of truth (God’s word) spoken forth by Prophet’s and men of God under
the influence of God’s spirit in them. There is power in words. Believe me when I say this, there is
power in our words. When those words were spoken forth in fullness, it created the power inspired
by the Holy Spirit in Mary to create Jesus’ body. God had given all dominion and power in the earth
to man (Genesis 1:26-31), and after man’s fall, He couldn’t just wipe us out and create new set of
beings because He is bound by His word. He never goes back on His word. Because we are
unfaithful, it does not mean God will be.

“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”
Psalm 89:34 KJV

“For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be
justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.””
Romans 3:3-4 NKJV

God never goes back on His word. God can never lie. He gave complete dominion and rule of this
earth to man (Psalms 115:16). So since He had given man control and dominion over everything on
earth (Genesis 1:26-31) He couldn’t go back on His word (Psalms 89:34). So, God made a way to
save us even though we disobeyed Him. He now decided to come in a body like ours to save us
because the devil was using us a bargain chip against God. The only way HE could save us was by
coming into this world in a body like ours. Only beings with physical bodies have access to operate
in this physical world. That is the reason demons have to possess a person with a physical body to
operate in this world. Remember in the book of John, Jesus told us God is a spirit (John 4:24). God
being Spirit had to come into this world as a man to save man. That which is born of flesh is flesh,
and that which is born of Spirit is Spirit. So, God came in the form of a man (Jesus) to put to death
the power of sin in our body by giving us a new spirit. He came to take back from the devil and give
back to us the power that He had given us here on earth that we had given the devil. When man
sinned against God in the garden of eden, we gave the authority & dominion God had given us here
on this earth over to the devil, that is why the scriptures refer to the devil as “the prince/ruler of
this world” (John 14:30, John 12:31, John 16:11, Ephesians 2:2, 2 Corinthians 4:4). For Him to save
us from the bondage of sin & take back the power we had yielded over to the devil, God had to
come in the form of a man because only beings with a physical human body can take back that
same dominion & authority. Jesus refered to Himself as the son of man for that reason. He became
a man so that He could have authority here on earth (John 5:26-27). He had to come in a body like
ours but a body that wasn’t tainted by man’s sinful nature. HE did this in the same way HE created
the first man (Adam), and that was through words (Genesis 1:26).

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of
grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the
offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of
one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience
many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Romans 5:17-19

This verse just puts it plainly for us. It says since death reigned because a man sinned,
righteousness also shall reign because a man (Jesus) lived a righteous life and gave us of His own
nature so that we could become as He is in this world (and the one to come)(1 John 4:17 ) and
partake of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). God came in a body like ours so that we could be made
righteous (free) through His fulfilment of the law (living a righteous & Holy life). It was a body like
ours, but it was a sinless body (2Corinthians 5:21, Romans 8:3-4, Hebrews 4:15, 1John 3:5, Luke
1:35). God created everything through words. He spoke everything into existence through His
words, and that is the same way He spoke the physical body of Jesus Christ into this world,
through the power of His words and under the influence/authority of His Spirit (Holy Spirit). Jesus
Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and not by man.

“But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a
dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which
is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 1:20 NKJV

The Holy Spirit conceived Jesus in Mary under the authority of the power of the truth in the word
of God. Those words had to be spoken from the beginning of time until the appointed time for
Christ’s coming. So many men of God had to have spoken out the word of prophecy from God
about Jesus, and then it created the power to conceive Jesus in the body of Mary through the
Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) that was in her. For instance, the prophet Isaiah and many others spoke
about Christ to be born in exact details.

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,
and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the
evil and choose the good.”
Isaiah 7:14-15 NKJV
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 NKJV

““But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of
you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From
everlasting.””
Micah 5:2 NKJV

This and so many other verses and prophesies in the Old Testament had to have been spoken to
frame the life & ministry of Jesus. They were all pointing us to the coming of the Messiah. All these
words spoken were fulfilled in Jesus and by Jesus. Jesus’ death and birth were as a result of God’s
word of truth. Jesus said He didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfil it (Matthew 5:17, Romans
8:3-4). He came to bring God’s word to pass. God literally used His words to redeem us. God’s
words are powerful & Christ was an embodiment of that truth. He was God’s word in flesh. He is
the word of God in a human body. Jesus is the physical manifestation of God’s word. He is the
word of God.

“ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1 NKJV

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (God’s word).”
John 1:14 NKJV

God’s word through the power of the Holy Spirit became flesh (Jesus) and came into this world to
save us from ourselves and the power of sin. Everything that exists in this world is as a result of
God’s spoken word (Hebrew 11:3). He wills His power through His word. Everything starts from the
word of God. Without God’s word we couldn’t be saved. Our salvation begins from the word of
God. If you don’t hear the word of God, and believe it as being God’s truth & power you can’t be
saved. Your faith in God comes only through His word. Paul in the book or Romans gives a perfect
explanation to this point.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in
Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall
they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach
the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the
gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:14-17 NKJV

Your faith to believe and receive salvation only comes when you hear the word of God. Only truths
can free you. If you have no knowledge of the word of God you can never believe in Him. How can
you believe on God if He never speaks His word to you? Faith in God only comes through hearing
and knowing His word.

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things
shall live by them.” But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart,
‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “ ‘Who will descend
into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is
near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if
you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will
not be put to shame.”

Romans 10:5-11.

The Faith you need to believe in God and receive His free gift of salvation only comes through the
word of God because faith comes by hearing the word of God. If you don’t have faith it means
you’re low on the word. It says the word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. The words
need to get in your heart, that is where the seed of the word grows, and you get that seed into your
heart through the words you say (your mouth). That is why romans tells us to believe in your heart
and confess with your mouth. That is when faith becomes complete. When you believe in your
heart (Spirit) and when you say it with your mouth. Your mouth only speaks what your heart is full
of, so you need to be careful of what you’re planting in your heart. You need to plant the
incorruptible seed of the word into your heart (ground). Faith only comes through the word of
God. God’s kind of Faith comes through the word of God and fear comes through the words of the
devil. God’s word carrries the faith of God in them. When God said “let there be light”, there was
sufficient Power & Faith in those words of God to make light be.

God has given us His own spirit now as a free gift of receiving His son. Just sit and meditate on this
for sometime. God’s spirit living in us gives us this same ability in the words we speak. Life and
death lies in the power of the tongue. God’s spirit now lives in us. We have a portion of that power
of truth that created this worlds in the beginning.

You can’t change the story. The story is one. There could be different forms and colors and shapes
in the story that plays in your own mind, but it is only 1 story still, being told with different images
in your mind.
