    QUANTITY EXPRESSIONS

    We use quantity expressions to describe different quantities.

    -Usamos expresiones de cantidad para describir dire cantidades

    To ask a question, we use any. With count nouns, we can use some, many, a few
    and not any in the answer. With mass nouns we can use some, a lot of, a little and
    not any in the answer.

    -Para hacer preguntas, usamos any. Para objetos contables, usamos some, many, a
    few y para respuestas negativas usamos any. Para objetos no contables podemos
    usar some, a lot of, a little y para respuestas negativas usamos any.

    Examples/Ejemplos

    COUNT/CONTABLES

    Are there any apples? Yes, there are some apples


    Many (large quantity)/(bastante cantidad)
    A few (small quantity)/(Poca cantidad)

    No, there aren’t any apples

    MASS/NO CONTABLES

    Is there any milk? Yes, there is some milk


    A lot of (large quantity)/(mucha cantidad)
    A little (small quantity)/(poca cantidad)

    No, there isn’t any milk

    Contables No contable
