CHECK IN CLERK: Good afternoon sir/madam. May I see your ticket and passport please?

PASSENGER: Good afternoon. Yes of course. Here you are.

CHECK IN CLERK: Are you travelling alone?

PASSENGER: Yes that’s right. One moment please (typing)

CHECK IN CLERK: Do you have any luggage, other than hand luggage?

PASSENGER: I’ve got one suitcase.

CHECK IN CLERK: Ok, can you put it on the scales, please

PASSENGER: There you are.

CHECK IN CLERK: Did you pack your bag yourself?

PASSENGER: Yes

CHECK IN CLERK: Have you seen the list of prohibited items for hand luggage?

PASSENGER: Yes I’ve just got one small bottle of perfume. It’s under 100 mililitres

CHECK IN CLERK: Ok. You will have to show that at security check.

PASSENGER: Ok

CHECK IN CLERK: Now, would you prefer an aisle seat or a window seat?

PASSENGER: A window seat please and near the front if possible.

CHECK IN CLERK: Ok I can give you seat K1, a window seat.

PASSENGER: Oh, that’s fine, thank you

CHECK IN CLERK: (printing) There’s your boarding pass. Watch the screens for the boarding
gate once you’re in the departure lounge.

PASSENGER: Right. Is there any delay on the flight?

CHECK IN CLERK: No, it should be on time today.

PASSENGER: Thank you.

CHECK IN CLERK: Have a good flight.

A: Welcome to The United States. May I see your passport please?

B: Sure. Here it is.

A: Where are you coming from?

B: I'm coming from London, England

A: What is the purpose of your visit?

B: I'm here on business.

A: How long are you planning to stay?

B: I'll be staying for two weeks.

A: Where will you be staying?

B: I'll be staying at The Spring Hotel in New York City .

A: Have you ever been to The United States before before?

B: No, this is my first time.

A: Do you have anything to declare?

B: No, nothing.

A: Enjoy your stay.

B: Thank you.
