principal of Parry McCluer High School, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed having Mr. Miller on the team
for the music department as he is an asset for our school community.

When Mr. Miller joined our team as a student teacher, I knew he was going to shine as a band
director and music educator. At the time, I was not aware that we’d have an opening at the end
of that year. When the position became available, I made it clear that Mr. Miller was my top
pick for the job! Mr. Miller brought a solid understanding of pedagogical methods and
differentiation to the position, as well as a contagious energy and enthusiastic personality. He
immediately made an impact by offering new ideas like starting a pep band for our winter sports
programs, as well as truly allowing the student leadership to take ownership in the band. Mr.
Miller brings music to life in his classroom as his instructional strategies, knowledge of the
curriculum, and student engagement methods are exceptional. It is evident that Mr. Miller has a
passion for teaching, leading, and ensuring that all of his students succeed.

Mr. Miller is charismatic and creative, and he thinks outside of the box. He has developed a
rapport with students, colleagues, and parents that is characterized by mutual respect and
collaboration. Beyond his strengths as a teacher and band director, Mr. Miller is an essential part
of our school community and works hard to bridge the gap between the school and the
stakeholders in our community.

Mr. Miller has my utmost respect and highest recommendation as he moves forward in his
