The future of healthcare will go hand in hand with technology.

Machine Learning has the ability to

classify a huge amount of data and learn from them plays a vital role in predicting Diabetes Mellitus
(DM). DM is a chronic disease that is affecting more than 200 million people across the world. If it is
left untreated, it damages the vital organs of the body and leads to early deaths. Therefore, in this
paper, a broad study is through on diabetes dataset using algorithms of Machine Learning such as
Decision Tree Classifier (DTC) and Logistic Regression (LR). Both algorithms are analyzed and
compared using several metrics such as a recall, accuracy, precision, specificity and sensitivity to
identify the best predicting algorithm. In this paper, after the execution results obtained, it be able to
be understood that LR offers the highest accuracy than DTC. Therefore, it can be concluded that LR
is the best diabetic predicting algorithm and it helps to provide proper medication.

The diabetes is one of lethal diseases in the world.

It is additional a inventor of various varieties of disorders foe
example: coronary failure, blindness, urinary organ diseases
etc. In such case the patient is required to visit a diagnostic
center, to get their reports after consultation. Due to every time
they have to invest their time and currency. But with the growth
of Machine Learning methods we have got the flexibility to
search out an answer to the current issue,

With the continuing increase in the number of the

deadly diseases that threaten both human health and life,
medical Decision Support Systems (DSS) continue to prove their
effectiveness in providing physicians and other healthcare
professionals with support in clinical decision making. Among
these dangerous diseases, diabetes continues to be one of the
leading one that has caused several deaths in the world. It is
characterized by an increase in blood sugar levels which can
have severe effects on other human organs.

Diabetes mellitus is a common disease of human

body caused by a group of metabolic disorders where the sugar
levels over a prolonged period is very high. It affects different
organs of the human body which thus harm a large number of
the body's system, in particular the blood veins and nerves.
Early prediction in such disease can be controlled and save
human life. To achieve the goal, this research work mainly
explores various risk factors related to this disease using
machine learning techniques. Machine learning techniques
provide efficient result to extract knowledge by constructing
predicting models from diagnostic medical datasets collected
from the diabetic patients. Extracting knowledge from such
data can be useful to predict diabetic patients.

Diabetes mellitus or just sickness may be

a disease caused due to the rise of blood glucose
level. Many difficulties might occur if the diabetes
remains untreated and unidentified by the doctor.
The complications are excretory organ injury,
typically resulting in chemical analysis, eye
damage that may end in visual impairment, or
associate degree enhanced risk for cardiopathy or
stroke. The conventional
distinguishing method is that patients ought to visit a
diagnostic centre, consult their doctor, and rest for
each day or additional to induce their reports.
Moreover, whenever they need to induce their
diagnosing report, they need to waste their cash
vainly.

These days diabetes is one of the most common

disease that affects the working age group which eventually
leads to complication in retina termed as diabetic retinopathy
(DR). Initial screening and diagnosis of DR is essential to avoid
partial or complete optical damage. Manual inspection by ophthalmologist
is time consuming and tedious process. So in order
to lower the work load and to reduce the chances of complete
blindness an automated screening system is necessary.

Machine learning (ML) plays a vital role

in computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) [4] system since lesions
cannot be identified using simple equations and ML mainly
deals with learning from examples. A trained ML classification
has the ability to operate on unseen data to predict the desired
output.

Nowadays, a critical challenge for real-world medical

problems is diabetes patients' diagnosis at an early stage [1-6].
Diabetes can cause high blood sugar levels characterized by
frequent urination and a critical desire to drink and eat.
Diabetes can cause many complications such as diabetic
ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state, and death.
Therefore, many research works have been conducted using
real-world medical data to model and predict diabetes at an
early stage

Machine Learning
technology is also one of the most promising areas evolved
in past few years, which continuously learn from the past
data and take informed decisions for future. High volume of
healthcare data resulting from diagnosis and treatment of DM
patients in clinics, hospitals, healthcare centres etc. are
already available for continuous monitoring of the patient’s
health and are stored in EHR (Electronic Health Records),
PHRs (Patient Health Records) and EMRs (Electronic
Medical Records) [3]. By leveraging advancements of big
data analytics, precision medicine and machine learning
technologies, healthcare data can be utilised to draw valuable
inferences for early prediction and treatment of disease.

Diabetes Mellitus is a condition in which a human

body is unable to produce enough insulin to regulate metabolism
of sugar for storage in human cells. This results in high sugar
levels in blood that may progressively damage the blood vessels in
the retina and can result in vision impairment leading to Diabetic
Retinopathy. One of the most common effects of diabetes [3] is a
condition called Diabetic Retinopathy, wherein the high blood
sugar levels weaken and damage the small blood vessels of
the retina, causing them to leak and burst. This causes an
insufficient supply of oxygen to the retina which can further
lead to abnormal swelling of vessels. If left untreated, Diabetic
Retinopathy can cause severe impairment or loss of vision. accurate detection of this disease at an early stage
would help to prevent any further damage due to negligence.

Diabetic Retinopathy has been one of the common

reason why diabetic patients lose sight. It is caused by the
damaging of the blood vessel of the light sensitive tissue at the back
of the eye or the retina. The traditional methods for the detection
of the disease requires lots of time and efforts hence the proposed
system aims to detect diabetic retinopathy using Image Processing
and Machine Learning. The project aims to automate the process of identifying diabetic
retinopathy so that preventive measures can be taken in time,
and the effect of diabetic retinopathy can be minimized.
Because of the automation of the process, identifying diabetic
retinopathy in the early stages becomes easier and as a result,
proper treatment can be provided at the proper time by the
Machine Learning Approach for Detection of
doctors.
