I. Relate the article with the Goals and Philosophies of Maternal and Child Health Nursing
in not less than 100 words.
- COVID 19 Pandemic affect millions of people around the world. It also disrupted
family planning, maternal and new born health services. The number of maternal deaths due to
complications from pregnancy and unintended pregnancies increase in population, due to ante-
natal check-up and delivery declining because of fear in contracting the COVID 19 pandemic. In
the article, it involves Goals and Philosophies of Maternal and Child Health Nursing, they want
to achieve their goal by promoting, giving their opinion, educating and voice out the rights of
woman and girls. It includes the care during or throughout pregnancy, freedom from violence,
sexual reproductive health and other health issues.

II. Share your insights about the given article and relate it with the Sustainable
Development Goals in not less than 100 words.
- The article opens my eyes; it is worth to read because it gives me so much idea about
the situation in the present world. I am aware about the increase number of COVID 19 cases and
unintended pregnancy, but I didn’t know that due to feared of COVID 19 the maternal deaths
and unintended pregnancies rise. As a nursing student and as a woman I should know that,
because their health issues are included.
There are 19 Sustainable development goals or (SDG’s) this are the global goals that is better
and more sustainable future for all people, that is shown and achieve in the article. It Reduce
inequalities (10) for women and girls through sexual, reproductive health, rights and freedom
from violence. Which is connected in promoting the women and girls reach the full potential in
having a good health and well-being (3) most especially during pregnancy.
