Executive Summary

Startups…Startups…Startups…if we talk about India or across the globe this is a

famous terminology, there is a flood of startups nowadays, around the world 100
million startups open each year since last few years. As we are aware of what a
startup is, I will straightly come to the point that there is a big margin of difference
between starting up something and starting up something meaningful. It can be
meaningful to society, nation, government or anything. So, you all might be thinking
that why? I am talking about this all .The point is I want to draw your , Yes, your
attention towards what I have done as a startup, in this high-tech era when everything

any concern about the physical shops in our locality but when in emergency , you

discounts which I get online. Offline sellers get a very tough competition in terms of
price (Mostly but there are other parameters also like wide range) from Online sellers
(Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.) and this has led to the closing of many shops also,
but now this will not continue either you buy online or offline you will get the same
or nearby price because we are here bringing you a solution to all your daily basic
need products.

more than the normal delivery charge (normal delivery is free on orders above 499).

Tie-ups with local sellers

Do you need something really urgent, that is what we do. We do it by tying up with the local
sellers in every location. The primary purpose is to supply goods to you really fast, promising
you the quality you desire, saving your time and efforts to get these stuffs. Secondly as
already being a customer, retailer, wholesaler I can link to what an individual desire, retailer
desire. Helping up the retailers is also an important part of our plan. What we are going to do
for them is firstly we give them the price advantage, in the prevailing market conditions
retailers are facing direct competition from the online sellers (i.e., amazon, flipkart) or nearby
big shopping complex (i.e., big bazar, D MART) in price related aspects. Hence, we are here
to help them as we are going to buy on their behalf directly from the manufacturer and will
supply to them. So, by this they will stand strong enough in the market to attract customers
and boost their sales. Secondly through our offline channel as a name of trust they will be
able to get more customers than before and our online service will also give them business as
well. Now the question arises how we are going to this? Showing these benefits will attract
more and more retailers to join with us; they will get support, collaboration, coordination,
smoother operations and what not. By registering sellers on our separate platform by issuing
them a certificate of registration, they will be coming under our unified brand name “1
SOLUTION” . Individual directly visiting our registered shops will get all price related
benefits and if buying through our online platform his/her order will be forwarded to a nearby
shopkeeper and from here our delivery team comes in action which would be scattered all
across the particular town and the nearest delivery in charge would be called for delivery. The
delivery in charge has to pick up the bill and stuffs from the shopkeeper and he has to deliver
it to the customer doorstep. The shopkeeper account will be credited within 24 hours. We
have built a strong, effective and fast delivery channel which will also boost our sales.

AUTOFILL

In this feature a customer purchasing mostly from “1 SOLUTION” online portal up to 3

months continuously would be benefitted as we will keep record of his order history and will
analyze his/her ordering trend and based on this report. We will send him a notification of
buying particular item according to his/her order history that might be consumed, it will help
customers to avoid last minute rush. For example ‘A’ is our registered permanent customer
then we will notify him/her to switch on the Autofill feature and might ‘A’ has bought sugar
continuously three months/Weeks i.e. 3 kg , 2kg, 3 kg so we will analyze his/her normal
monthly/weekly consumption to be 3 kg and within a month/week we will send him/her a
notification that he/she should buy sugar , if he/she agrees to our suggestion just by clicking
on confirm the sugar will be delivered to him as he will be avoiding last minute rush and will
be carefree of taking up the stock of household essentials. That is how we will build customer
attraction, engagement, trust towards “1SOLUTION” by giving him/her such valuable
features.

Swot analysis

Strength

• Preferable for both online and offline consumers

• Cost effective

• Time saving

• Attractive features like tatkaal and vraddh jan suvidha

Weaknesses

• More orders than delivery in charges at the same time

Opportunity

• Covid-19 pandemic pushed consumers to go for online buying

• Large market size

• Government policies for startups

threat

• Competition

Target market

As everyone buys grocery so we have not specified our target market but particularly
we will focus on housewives, because mostly groceries are bought by them only. We
will try to reach everyone from the poor to the richest but we will limit it up to mostly
around middle class because our main focus is price and it is what attracts middle
class.

Marketing strategy

• Newspaper/YouTube advertisement

• Social media marketing

• Word of mouth

• Referral schemes

• Sponsoring events

Competitor analysis

Mostly we have eliminated bigger competition in this field by uniting and tying up
with small local retailers.

Then also competition exists and our competitors are mainly-

• Amazon

• Flipkart

• Grofers
• Big basket

Profitability & growth

Starting up our venture will require some funds and after it we will be just rotating
and transferring our funds and will bring a little extra fund after 6 months of startup to
expand, majorly our expenses would be for application maintenance, salary to
delivery persons and some miscellaneous expenses. We will try to reinvest our profits
for up to 18 months of operations.

We will try to add and register retailers frequently in the beginning and would
advertise ourselves like “a hot cake”.

We will go with the model for covering up a division in beginning and will try to
succeed it within 3-6 months and will add up 2 more division in the third quarter of
the year and successively doubling up the target every quarter.

Positioning

By our ‘VRADDH JAN SUVIDHA’, ‘TATKAAL’ & ‘AUTOFILL’ Features we will

be positioned different from other competitors as we are not just delivering them the
goods, we are adding value to their shopping habits. They will be carefree after
joining in with “1 SOLUTION”. And our main marketing strategy would also be the
customers satisfactorily referring it to friends and family, word of mouth because as
we mentioned in our slogan “Your need, our responsibility”.

Barriers to entry

• Convincing retailers to register.

• Building superfast delivery channel.

• Huge numbers of customers trusting D Mart and other competitors and to attract them
while taking a start.

• Solutions to these barriers: -

• Continuously informing them the benefit of more customer engagement due to heavy
discounts offered and increasing their profits.

• Organizing one activity after another without time lapse.

• Saving time and costs, 24*7 customer support, high quality products & safe and
superfast delivery, features like Vraddh jan suvidha and Autofill.

Intellectual property

In India, ‘a mathematical or business method or a computer program per se or

algorithms’ are not patent-eligible as per section 3(k) of the Indian Patents Act, 1970.
But we can take a chance and file it as a ‘software plus hardware’ invention. we can
also file it in countries like US where the rules pertaining to software inventions are
not so hard and fast. We believe the app’s working has a significant difference from
the existing service-based apps, we will be going ahead in near future with the
patenting process.

It’s totally up to us to decide whether we should patent it or not. A patent would be an

asset for our company, as we can choose to sell, license or transfer it to anyone at any
point of time.

Revenue model

Our revenue model is: -

• We will be earning profits (percentage based mainly) when distributing goods

purchased in bulk to the retailers.

• We will be getting extra cash discounts from the manufacturers other than the low
prices which we will get while buying in bulk.

• We will again charge commission (very low charge excluding delivery fee) while
delivering goods at the doorstep.

• We will be charging extra delivery fee when the order is booked under “Tatkaal Seva”
feature of our app.
• When we will be in our maturity stage, we will be asking for excessive discounts from
manufacturers to promote their product on our platform (like an advertising fee),
showing their products in suggestion section of our application to our customers.

Financial plan

• As per the financing we have planned our budget for first 6 months is about 20 lacs
INR which will be equally invested by each of us.

• For next quarter and upcoming 4 more quarters we will be reinvesting profits earned
throughout and bring additional capital of 2 lacs INR by each of us.

• In beginning we will be requiring money to carry out transaction with manufacturer

and some of the day-to-day miscellaneous expenditures. Mainly in beginning we
spend much on advertisement.

Government of India, which will be providing the following facilities-
