Competition Social Consciousness: Need of the Hour

The central theme of the Poster Making Competition is Social Consciousness: Need of the Hour
With the world under a lockdown due to Covid-19, it has brought in a new facet in the lives of the people. In these times people
have learnt to be resilient, self-reliant, and sensitized towards human race. School students are the most affected in this time
of home quarantine with restrictions in place thereby curtailing their freedom of playing outdoors. To overcome the monotony
and for creating a positive atmosphere among students Amity Law School, Noida is organising a Poster Making Competition.
Posters are one of the oldest and most effective medium for expressing one’s ideas and feelings.
This competition aims at encouraging students to showcase their creative skills in terms of poster making. Along with
developing creativity, we intent to inculcate a sense of social consciousness among the students towards the society who are

Competition The competition shall be adjudged by a jury of three members and the decision of the jury shall be final.
E-certificates will be provided to all the participants.
4 Themes for the Category A: Class 9th and 10th (Choose any 1 Theme)

• Traditional Classroom vs. Virtual Classroom
• Green Earth: Being sustainably efficient
• World Peace
• Mind, Body and Soul – Fit India
Category B: Class 11th and 12th (Choose any 1 Theme)
• Pandemic – Life during times of lockdown
• Plight of Migrant Labourers
• Drug Abuse – A nightmare
• Empowering Women and Girl Child
• Domestic Violence – A Curse on Humanity
5 Eligibility i. Only individual student is permitted to participate.
ii. Participation of bonafide students shall be in two categories
Category A – Class 9 and 10 Category B – Class 11 and 12
6 Rules i. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE for participating in the competition.
ii. A student will submit only one Poster for the competition.
iii. Participants must register online for the AYF Poster Making Competition through the AYF ONLINE SCHOOL EDITION
registration portal by clicking on this Registration Link _________________________
iv. After registration for the competition in AYF registration portal, students are required to Email a scanned copy / photo of
the poster as attachment to the following email id:alsnposter.ayf2020@gmail.com
v. Participants should mention the following in mail in bold letters:
• Name of the Student
• Name of the School
• Contact details including phone number and postal address
vi. Poster attachment should be named as follows: AYF Poster_Name of Student_Name of School_Category
vii. The poster should focus on the theme and should have the theme and slogan written on the top front page of the poster
viii. Participants should write their Name, School Name and Class on the top or bottom right-hand corner of the poster.
ix. After submission of Poster, a Preliminary Screening of the Poster will be done as per the criteria given in the rules section
mentioned below.
x. After Preliminary Screening, selected students will have to make an Online Presentation for 2 minutes explaining their Poster.

xi. The Online Presentation shall be conducted through MS Teams. The Team Codes are mentioned below. (Please Refer S. No
10)
xii. Online entries like Name, Surname, Class, School Name and Contact Number should be entered correctly in the portal at
the time of registration as the same will be used for generating e-certificates. Wrong entries can lead to discrepancy in the
generation of e-certificates.
xiii. An Introductory Meeting with all the participants is scheduled for 19th June 2020 at 12:00 noon – 12:30 pm through MS
Teams. The link for joining the meeting is:

The schedule for the meeting is as follows:
• Showing of Amity Video – 4 mins
• Introduction about institution by HOI – 5 mins
• Competition Brief by Faculty Coordinator – 5 mins
• Q & A Session – 10 mins
xiv. The Evaluation criteria of the Poster Making Competition is as follows:
• Appropriate slogan – 5 Marks
• Originality and Creativity – 5 Marks
• Visual Appeal – 5 Marks
• Layout – 5 Marks
• Oral Presentation – 5 Marks
7 Materials Required i. Drawing / Painting must be on a white sheet of A2 size / A4 size.
(if any) ii. Accepted tools of drawing / painting include pencil, crayon, sketch, pastel, water colour, poster color, etc.
iii. No photographs, wires and 3D objects acceptable as poster.
