TESTING DONE FOR JIRA PLATFORM

3. Glen started off the meeting by sharing the testing he has completed on the JIRA platform All
with a newly created domain. He asked if the button could be created anywhere on the platform and members
Keith explained that JIRA platform has constraints such that buttons cannot be created in some pages,
including the “Create Issue” page that the team is looking at. Hence, the team will have to propose a
workaround for it.

4. Keith shared his testing. He showed that he was able to create an issue with the REST API
python script, along with a HTML page.

5. Glen brought up the point on having certain conditions (e.g. Story points, man-hours,
priority etc.) to determine the sprint for the tasks to be allocated to. He also emphasized the need to
look into the AI/ML to automate the sprint allocation with the button. The components of the API
should follow the format of the ‘Create Issue’ page as closely as possible. Main fields that are
required such as Summary, Description, and Story Points should be included. We will have to clarify
the required items in the upcoming meeting with Mr Tian.

The outstanding issue currently will be understanding how to link the backend to frontend for the task
creation, and also the limitations of the implementing buttons in the JIRA platform.

6. Zhang Cheng also clarified that the plugin should subsequently be able to transfer the
current uncompleted sprint items into the next sprint. Glen suggested to set a limit for the total story
points/man-hours for each sprint to prevent overloading of tasks. Once each sprint has been filled
with tasks up till the maximum possible story points/man-hours, subsequent ones will be carried
forward to the next sprint.
CONCLUSION

7. The team will clarify on the workaround to replicate the ‘Create Issue’ page based on its
main components in the next meeting with Mr Tian.

8. With no other matters, the meeting adjourned at 8pm and the next meeting will be held on
November 2021, 7pm to 8pm.
