Assumptions: We are assuming that the company is ready to branch out into new segments of
hotel service providers and enter into collaborations.

ANS 1 :

New Product Plan

With the onset of the Corona Virus Pandemic, COVID-19 has affected every sector across
the globe, and the hotel industry is among the hardest hit. A research by McKinsey &
Company, suggests that recovery to pre-COVID-19 levels could take until 2023—or later.

The research further concluded that economy hotels have the fastest return to pre-pandemic
levels, and luxury and upper upscale hotels to have the slowest . That’s in part because
economy hotels are better able to tap segments of demand that remain relatively healthy
despite travel restrictions, including truck drivers and extended-stay guests.

Keeping this in mind , Jade & Karry LTD. will offer holiday packages that cater to the needs
of all income groups and provide a luxury feeling. This will majorly be based on the concept
on Minimalistic Living.

Jade & Karry will collaborate with TATA, a leading caravan manufacturer and the owner of
the leading Taj Hotels, to provide hotel experience in Vanity Vans and Caravans.

Vanity cum Caravans are compact spaces that provide a homely feel in a confined space. It is
one of the most sough after examples of Minimalistic Living, and has been a growing trend
in the past few years.

The World Health Organisation claims that the fear of touching high touch areas and physical
contact with others might take another 5 years to be eradicated. In this situation it is
imperative that consumers have safe stays and will prefer a space of their own.
This is practically a home on the wheels

Jade & Karry will provide the following packages :-

1) Honeymoon at the beach/hill : Vanity parked near the sea or with a beautiful of the hills in
a private space
2) Family Package : Vanity Parked in a prominent neighbourhood with other caravans close
by
3) Adventure Holidays : Drive through roads and highways that are an adventure in itself

Apart from this customised packages are available.

These holiday plans are extremely affordable as the consumer does not have to spend
anything on travel as the caravan can be used as a means of transportation , literally
anywhere. Food can be prepared in the caravan itself and vending machines will be provided
based on the package taken.

Some salient features of the van


1) Bedrooms, Hall, Kitchens
2) Refrigerators and all other necessary equipments such as air conditioner, stoves etc
3) A full time room service
4) Fully prepared itinerary
5) A driver (if the consumer wants)

Jade & Karry will provide coupons that will be acceptable at all partner restaurants. In order
to eradicate physical contact a QR code can be scanned.

Salons, Spas, Bars & Pubs

Jade & Karry will partner with UrbanClap to provide in caravan salon and spa services , thus
eradicating the risk at a common salon and spa. Complimentary coupons will be provided for
the same.

For bars and pubs, a space will be created to form a drive through bar/pub. Consumers can
park their caravans and enjoy in the caravan itself as artists will entertain, DJ will play the
music and drinks shall be served. This will eradicate the risk of physical contact.

Jade & Karry will provide coupons that will be acceptable as a means of payment at these
entertainment avenues.

Tourist Destinations

A fully prepared itinerary will be provided. Consumers can either drive themselves or a
driver partner can be allotted. The consumers can enjoy the destinations from inside if they
want to avoid physical contact.

MARKETING STRATEGY

With prime minister modi vouching for Vocal for Local, Jade & Karry will opt a strategy that
connects directly with the consumer.

The concept of Caravan was heavily popularised and used in the famous movie Swades,
where Shah Rukh Khan lives and even travels to the corners of the country in his Caravan.
An advertisement will be created using the movie clips (taking care of the copyright rules) as
users will connect immediately to the concept.
Shah Rukh Khan is considered as an idol and has a fan base of millions all over the world

The major reason of adopting this strategy is to promote domestic tourism. Post Corona
pandemic the economy has to be revived and tourism is one of the most efficient ways.
Swades preaches the importance of supporting India’s talent and the advertisements will
resonate the same. As Shah Rukh Khan enjoys the country’s beauty in his caravan, the users
will be motivated to do the same. The Caravan can be used to travel to various parts of the
country.

Social Media Campaigns such as #MySwadesMoment and #HolidayAtHomeOnWheels


will be promoted.

We also aim to create a 3D view of the Caravan on our Instagram page where a dull view of
the caravan will be available from inside, such as the user will feel they’re inside the caravan.
It will literally bring the caravan to your fingertips so that you can explore easily and book
according to your preference.

Five Year Plan

Travel will return. But the recovery will likely take longer than in other industries, and will
vary across segments. Business and leisure travel will return at different paces, as will
domestic and international travel. What’s certain is that the next normal will be marked by
structural shifts, especially around customer expectations for hygiene and flexibility.

For business travellers, demand will likely come back unevenly. Essential travel will differ
by industry. According to executives and chief human resources officers in North America,
interviewed in April 2020 across an array of industries, every one of their companies is using
technology as a substitute for nonessential travel. Most expect that certain types of travel—
like internal meetings—will never fully return to pre-COVID-19 levels.

Keeping this in mind, the following provisions in the next five year will be followed and
implemented.

The profits are projected to go down by a 20% by 2023. To keep the business running Jade &
Karry will enter in the Travel Insurance domain, targeting business groups. Business houses
are bound to travel , even in unexpected situations. Most people will prefer a travel insurance
post COVID to safeguard themselves from such unprecedented situations .

Jade and Karry will collaborate with Zephyr, a brand associated to make air travel
comfortable. The company aims on making comfortable seats even in the economy class for
comfortable flights.

We will be collaborating with OYO which is currently one of the tourism industry’s fastest
growing companies for hotel requirements to expand our industry in the next few years to
provide .

With an effort to revive the industry back after the global pandemic we are introducing new
vanity cum caravans to ensure customers' privacy and safety along with happy holiday travel
plans. This step is taken amid the time where customers feel conscious to step out for a
holiday with family and friends. For the same we will be collaborating with leading caravan
manufacturers.

J&K Ltd plans to collaborate with companies like Urban-company and Yes madam to
provide complimentary salon services to our travellers while on their way to their planned
destinations. Plus we will be providing vouchers and redeem coupons for post travel benefits
as well thus eliminating the need to travel to a public salon or parlour.

The company aims to join hands with food delivery apps like Zomato for easy and fast
delivery of food in the vanity cum caravan for the customers while driving to their holiday
trips.

We are introducing new app where customers can book their 'HOTEL AT HOME'
experience where customers will be provided with all the staff members at home for best
hotel experiences while sitting at home. The staff will turn the home into a hotel with room
service and all other amenities.

Since Covid 19 has mentally affected the people very much, most of them now wish to break
the boredom and chill out with family and friends but fear to hire a car or a hotel or even dine
at a restaurant, but with our new Vanity cum caravan plans and Hotel at home initiatives we
are aiming to serve a large number of people while taking extreme care of their safety and
privacy.
