Summary of Strengths and Areas of Possible Growth

Strengths: After completing and reflecting on this self-assessment, I recognized that there are many areas I could work on as
a teacher leader. However, a few strengths stood out to me. First, I feel that I am a strong member of my PLC and I regularly
help my fellow PLC members and promote collaboration amongst colleagues. My understanding of technology also allows me
to be a teacher leader within my PLC because I can provide feedback and suggestions to other faculty members. Also, I
believe I create an inclusive culture by featuring multicultural picture books and chapter books in my classroom library.

Areas of Growth: I mentioned this in some of the above domains, but one of the ways I think I can become a stronger
teacher leader is by participating in more research and professional development opportunities. I believe these would allow
me to learn more about culturally responsive teaching and in doing so, I can share and collaborate with colleagues in order to
improve all of our classrooms. I plan to be more proactive in seeking out these leadership opportunities.
