Background: A police officer from the planet Thanagar, Shayera
Thal met and married fellow officer Katar Hol. The two pursued a
criminal to Earth. After their adventure, they remained; adopting the
identities of Carter and Shiera Hall. As Hawkman and Hawkgirl, the two
heroes used ancient weapons and modern technology against criminals.
The Hawks were members of the Justice League until they were wiped
from existence during the reality altering Zero Hour.

Real Name: Dr. Kirk Langstrom
First Appearance: Detective Comics #400 (1970)
Background: A zoologist and expert on bats, Dr. Kirk Langstrom
attempted to produce a formula that would allow blind people to
replicate bat’s sonar. Injecting himself with the formula, he transformed
into the monstrous Man-Bat. He was tracked down by the Batman
who created an antidote. Kirk later used his formula to become a
crimefighter but gave it up to be with his wife Francine and raise a
family. He has transformed back into Man-Bat on several occasions and
still remains a possible threat to Gotham City.

Background: The first Robin was Dick Grayson, an acrobat who
performed with his family until they died in an accident set up by a
Gotham City criminal. Adopted by Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson was
trained to become Batman’s sidekick. As Robin, he fought crime with
such skill, joy, and determination that he earned the nickname, “the
Boy Wonder.”

Background: Harleen Quinzel was a promising psychiatrist
interning at Arkham Asylum. She fell head over heels for the Joker
and aided him in his many escapes. When the authorities discovered
this, she earned a padded cell of her own. Freed from Arkham in an
earthquake, she made herself over as Harley Quinn with the intention
of becoming “Mr. J’s” number one girl. Joker had other plans and shot
her off in a rocket! Harley was rescued by gal-pal Poison Ivy, who gave
her enhanced strength, agility and an immunity to most toxins. Harley
hates Batman for getting in between her and her “Puddin” and plans to
lead the Joker to the altar...if he doesn’t kill her first!

Charybdis stole his ability to communicate with sea life and stuck
Arthur’s hand into a piranha-infested pool. Soon after, he attached a
harpoon spearhead to his left arm in place of his missing hand. After
the hook’s destruction, Aquaman had it replaced with a cybernetic
prosthetic from S.T.A.R. Labs. This new harpoon had a retractable reel
that he could fully control.

Ares and was dubbed Wonder Woman
by the press. She soon joined the Justice
League to fight the evils of the world. While
fighting the demon Neron, Diana died
and was reborn as the goddess of truth.

her magic lasso. The two fought several times, but with each use of the
