Performance Task 2

What is religion first? Everyone has different definition on what religion is, some are
defined it as a group of individual who have shared beliefs. While others, when they heard the
word religion the first thing that came in their mind is the presence of God. We have different
religions that’s why we have different beliefs, for example, the Muslims, they surrender
themselves to ‘Allah’, while Christians is also believes in the existence of only one God and sent
his only Jesus Christ for our Salvation. But there are people who does not believe in religion or
in the existence of God or any God. They are called the atheist. There are also some individual
who does not believe in religion but they believe in God, because they believe that religion
makes a lot of rules.

Several people now a days, go to the church not to praise God, but for the sake of others
for them to think that she/ he is a religious person. We are now live in modern world, some are
focusing on their careers, while others busy managing their own businesses, teenagers now a
days spend their time in playing online games, busy scrolling in different social media platforms,
that’s why some of us forget to go to the church, yet some people never forget to pray and thank
our god for everything that we had. There are people that no matter how busy they are, they will
never forget to spend time to the church. There are also people who served their life to their
religion, spends more time to their church. Due to this pandemic a lot of people’s faith is
strengthened and others are returning to be a religious one again.

Religion will continue relevant in the 21st century, it is because religion is part of our life.
Religion develops our faith, beliefs, humanity, and behavior and it helps us to be a better one.
Religion is very important because human beings are religious by nature, it helps us to build
values such as love, empathy and respect. It will continue relevant for the reason that faith can
give us strength, so that it will help us to overcome the challenges in our life. Religion serves our
identity because it helps the person to know themselves more, and to stand what people are
believing for.
