BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM: We are pleased to inform you that YHAI is organizing National
Himalayan Brahmatal Trekking Cum Training Expedition 2021 in Garwal Himalayas Region from 20th March to 30th
March, 2021. At the altitude of 11155 ft Its lies in the lap of Mt. Trishul & Mt. Nandaghunti massif. It is a high altitude lake
in the Chamoli district, Uttarakhand state of India. This lake is a popular trekking destination, throughout the year. This is
one of The best 6-7 days trek in valley of gods, Uttarakhand.

DAY WISE SCHEDULE:

Day 1: Reporting at kathgodam Railway station before 7 AM. We will pick you for Loha Jung basecamp.( Participants
Should take care of their meal during their journey) The transport amount will be onsharing basis among participants.
Day 2:Morning Exercise, Acclimatization walk, Orientation.Kit Inspection, Luggage Deposit.
Day 3: Trek to Bekaltal camp(9931 ft)/Telandi Camp (10170 ft) from Loha Jung Base
Camp (7.5 km), 5-6 hours Approx.
Day 4: Trek to Brahma Tal camp (10456 ft), from Bekaltal/ Telandi camp. (7 km) 6 hours Approx.
Day 5: Trek To Khorurai Camp (9175 ft) From Brahma Tal camp, via Brahma Tal
Top(12175 ft) and Jhandi Top 11227 ft (8.5 km’s). 7 hours Approx.
Day 6: Trek Base Camp Lohajung via Begam village(8900 ft,5 km Approx).
Day 7: Group breaks after breakfast. (Drop at kathgodam Railway station by evening. Participants should take care of their
meal during their journey) The transport amount will be onsharing basis among participants.
Total round Trekking Route- 28 km. (approx.)

cancellation policy).

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?


The minimum age for a member to join the program is 18 years to 60 Years, YHAI membership is mandatory to participate.
This condition will be adhered to strictly. Under age and above age will not be considered in any case. Members desirous of
joining this programme may apply online duly supported by a "Trekking Medical Certificate"not older than 30 days.

Special Booking Cases:


On the special case if the person is medically fit and a regular trekker than he can be allowed in offline mode (decision will
be final only on management discretion and seat availability). In this case, he/she has to produce Indemnity bond on Rs 100/-
bond paper from his respective state and has to submit the same along with his Registration form.

HOW TO REACH: Reporting Point: Kathgodam railway station.Regular Bus Train services available from Major cities. The
nearest airport is Pantnagar Distance 34 Km.

HOW TO JOIN: Online Booking Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online by paying requisite
program fee along with online booking amount Rs. 7000/-
We accept Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card payment on www.yhaindia.org for online payments.
After successful transaction Admit Card will be generated. Participant has to carry two copy of "Admit Card", "
Original Trekking Medical Certificate" (Validity 30 days only)& "Membership Card"(Print out of membership card
may also be accepted) at the time of reporting to the Base Camp.

Offline Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply on the prescribed "Trekking Registration Form"
duly supported by a along with a Demand Draft of requisite amount of Rs 7000/- in favour of “ Youth Hostels Association
of India” payable at New Delhi. The Trekking registartion Form and Demand Draft may be sent to following address:

FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES: YHAI provides nutritious, vegetarian and good quality meals which includes Morning tea,
breakfast, packed lunch, evening tea (in the camp), dinner and after dinner tea/coffee/Bournvita, shall be provided. Please
bring your own plates, mugs, spoons etc.

*WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG:


Trekking Shoes (Preferably Water proof, high ankle, Nonskid).
Sandal or Chappal (Washable and quick dry).
Socks- Cotton and woolen 4 pair (One pair only for night time).
Trousers (Light weight, no jeans, no cargo preferably quick dry).
Inner Garments (as per requirement).
Cotton T-shirts (Full and Half sleeves both).
Trek Suite (Complete set).
Wind Cheater (Upper and Lower with hoods, preferable water repelled).
Rain Coat Set. Upper and lower with Hoods.
Sweater or Woolen Jersey. Cotswool set Upper and Lower.
Good quality Jacket.
Woolen and Water proof Gloves.
Bandana or Throat Cover.
Sun Cap and Woolen Cap.
Sun Glass (Polarized will be best).
Walking Stick.
Ruck Sack (If you have good one, otherwise will be provided by YHAI).
Torch (With spare cells).
Thermal flask, Water Bottle and Water Purifier.
Lunch Box, leak proof (For Packed Lunch).
Plate, Mug, Spoon.
Needle and Thread with spare Buttons.
Toilet paper.
Towel, Soap, Toothpaste and Tooth brush.
Boroline, Vaseline, Sun protection Cream (SPF 30 or above).
Pen and Note Book.
Passport size photographs, ID proof original and Xerox, Membership cards.
Original Medical certificate, Indemnity bond if above 60 years.
Medicine (As per your personal requirement, which regularly use at home).
Camera with spare cells (Optional).
Personal things regularly use at your home.
