a) What Should We Wear While Traveling to Italy?

What to wear in Italy is one of the first things to consider once you plan the
basics of your first trip to the country. No need to stress over your trip as packing is
simple if you stick with the classics. Italians are stylish, and we recommend dressing
smart, so you’re comfortable hanging out with locals.

For Women
1. Sundress - For those Italian summers, it’s a tremendous idea to have a
sundress. You can Choose a classic dress like an exposed shoulder top, slip,
maxi, or your favourite summer dress. It will most likely be your most worn
outfit in the summer, as Italian summers are far too hot for pants.

2. Capris/Loose Pants - In the spring or summer, we should pack pants that

correspond with the warmer weather. That means either some lightweight
capris or relaxed, loose pants. Capris tend to feel better in the cities, while a
relaxed airy pant is perfect for the Italian coastline.

3. Tank Top - A few comfortable tank tops and shirts are should always in your
bag, and they’re perfect for Italian summers. You can typically pack solid
colors so that you can pair with everything. They’re super functional clothes
worn under a blouse or alone with a skirt or capris. It’s always best to pick up
some new ones before a trip. That way, they look fresh and aren’t pilling.

4. Handbag - Italians love their accessories, and that does not stop with the
handbag. It’s a good idea if you want to bring a medium-sized bag that can
hold a few essentials and still have a little room for souvenirs.

For Men
1. Dress Shirt & Chinos - Italian men are often just as well dressed as women
and pack at least one dress shirt for a trip to Italy. You can stick with a classic
color like blue or white that will never go out of style. For a trip, men only need
two pairs of pants, one pair of chinos, and one pair of jeans. Navy or beige is
the most versatile color choice for pants.

2. T-Shirt Or V Neck - A classic tee will never go out of style. We suggest

sticking with solid colors like black, white, or grey. There’s also the option of a
v-neck for a more stylish look, but it all depends on personal preference. For
those who sweat more, grey better as it is super easy to stain white. All that
being said, you can spend most of your days in a linen shirt with the sleeves
rolled up.

3. Loafers - Loafers are a good shoe to have in the summer for a more relaxed
look by the seaside. It’s perfect for a night out at a local trattoria while you
listen to live music. The important thing with footwear is that it looks clean and
simple.

But we go to italy in april. Usually, the weather in april in italy is more rainy and
colder. So, I suggest we all always bring an umbrella and wear a little thicker shirt.
Firstly, if you’re walking to and from destinations in light rain, a good trench coat will
help to keep your outfit and hair dry. Tights and a dress are a good option, especially
if you don’t want to wear hiking pants around a city. Tights are also made of
synthetic material that dry fast. Leather boots will keep your feet dry, and will be able
to withstand mud as you encounter it. You can use a water resistant spray to help
keep water out and protect your shoes.
Jeans are OK for light rain although we don’t recommend wearing them for
heavy rainy days or when you’re outside in the rain for extended periods of time.
Because (Wearing wet clothes in cold temperatures can cause hypothermia.)
You can choose one of these travel rain coats for women that fall below your
hips. Alternatively, I recommend a durable poncho wet weather that keeps your
whole body dry, but also gives you some breathability and flexibility.

Everyone Should Pack This!

1. Activewear - There are many outdoor activities in Italy (Dolomites, volcanoes,
and hilltop towns) that require some activewear to enjoy. So, when you’re
wondering what to wear in Italy, consider packing at least one active outfit.
Not to mention all of the carbs you’re going to need to burn off!

2. Comfortable Shoes - We’re going to start with a comfortable pair of shoes as

it’s the one thing everyone needs. Italian cities are meant for walking, so be
prepared to spend a lot of time on your feet.

3. Sunglasses - Make sure to protect your eyes from the sun since you’ll likely
spend a lot of time outside. Italians are big into their name-brand sunglasses.
A stylish pair of sunglasses is a great addition to an outfit.
what we should and shouldn't do in italy
1. Do be aware of your belongings at all times - As like any big city, you have
to be very careful about your belongings. Make sure that you keep all
valuables out of our pockets and always bring a bag that zips closed so that it
deters anyone from trying to get to your belongings.

2. DO be conscious of how you dress - Italians do judge other people based

off of how they dress, and they can usually tell if you’re American and a tourist
based off of how you dress and present yourself. That means you can’t bring
those flip flops with you!

3. DO remember to carry some cash around with you - Not all shops and
restaurants take credit cards, and it’s better to be safe when it comes to that
kind of thing so that you aren’t left feeling stranded and unable to pay after
finishing a meal

4. DONT try to wear flip flops while walking around Italy - You don’t need to
be the typical American tourist wearing white sneakers all the time, but
wearing comfortable shoes while exploring the different cities will make a
huge difference by the time you’re done.

5. DONT forget to have fun and immerse yourself in Italian culture - Visiting
Italy is always a unique experience, no matter how many times you’ve visited
and how long you’ve stayed. Enjoy your time, and try to experience the Italian
culture as fully as you possibly can.
