Situation Action to be taken

1. Water is filling in the mask Fully flood the mask by opening its top seal and
letting the water fill it. Place our hands on either
side of your mask and place its top ridge firmly to
our forehead to open the bottom seal. Exhale
through your nose and let the air bubbles remove
the water from our mask.
2. Water entered the snorkel To avoid inhaling water, use your tongue as splash
guard by placing it against the roof of your mouth.
This will warn you of water entering your mouth
before you inhale it.
3. Pressure is felt in the ear while By pinching your nose and blowing gently. Called
driving Valsalva Maneuver, it essentially forces the tubes
open with air pressure. The better way is to use the
throat muscles to pull your Eustachian tubes open
the way nature intended- by swallowing.

1. What features of the snorkel will you be looking for? Why?

 The features of the snorkel that I will be looking for is that have comfortable
mouthpiece that fits my mouth – not too small or big. Plastic tube with the proper
diameter, length and shape to extend above my head and with smooth, rounded
bends to avoid breathing resistance. Attachment system to my mask strap that's
adjustable for comfort. I looking for it for my own safety and at same to enjoy my
snorkelling.

2. What kind of fin will you be buying and why?

 The kind of fin that I will going to buy is the full-foot fins that are 20-25 inches long,
soft, and flexible or split-fins if I have the budget for them. Guarantee a comfortable
fit by getting a pair of fin socks too. I choose them because it’s the guarantee of the
professional diver. And I know this will ensure my safety.
