1. The following table shows the frequency of errors committed by 10 typists

per minute.

TYPISTS A B C D E F G H I J
NO OF 5 3 3 7 28 8 8 4 7 10
ERRORS
PER MIN

Answer:

TYPISTS A B C D E F G H I J
NO OF 3 3 4 5 7 7 8 8 10 28
ERRORS
PER MIN

MODE: 7 & 8
INTERPRET:
If there are two numbers that appear most often (and the same number of
times) then the data has two modes. This is called bimodal.

2. A random sample of 8 mango trees reveals the following number of fruits they
yield

Mango A B C D E F G H
Tree
No. of 80 70 80 90 82 82 90 82
Fruits

Mango A B C D E F G H
Tree
No. of 70 80 80 82 82 82 90 90
Fruits

MODE: 82’S
90’S
80’S
INTERPRET:
So even if a number appears twice. If it appears the most it's going to be
the mode if more than one number appears twice you're going to have multiple
modes.
