GIRLS IN SPORT

No.1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company

World Thinking Day Sports Meet
THEME OF SPORTS

 Exercise and sports participation has long been established as an important factor
in reducing the risk of many physical problems such as cardiovascular disease and
obesity.

 By giving more Girl Guides the opportunity to try a much wider variety of sports
we will be able to increase participation levels, widen the talent pool and help
them lead a healthier, more active lifestyle.

 The Patrol system in guiding gives each girl the opportunity to be an active
member which allows girls to hone their skills
RULES AND GUIDELINES

Each guide must participate in, at minimum, three of the events unless there are
health related issues. If there are health related issues, the Guide must cheer on her
patrol.

Patrol Leaders and seconds must strategise to lead their team to victory.

Each Patrol should bring their Patrol Flag and come up with a short Patrol
Chant/Cheer.

The patrol that wins best March Past will also receive 100 points.
