Excuse the tone of the E-mail I am not mad and all.

And all of
your questions where good and ect. I Fail at the E-mail so bare
with it.

So looking through some of your questions I notice a theme. The theme is that everything
the character must go along with the characters “type.”
While in some games this would be true, video games, computer games, or Dungeons
and Dragons perhaps. The same can not be said about this game. Here are a few reasons
why, in no real order and they are all as important as each other.

1) We only have 4 people playing this game, we might get more later, but any extra
skills that people have can only help in the long run.
2) Your character was infected not genetically created so if you have a random
power that does not fit or can’t help you’re other powers it makes sense.
3) Not every skill, background, attribute has to help others work you started out
human, humans are flawed. You start out as a NEW hero and they have room to
grow. Sure you may suck as some stuff to start but that is why they invented
experience.
4) Weakness, omg. Super man arguably the strongest super hero ever can be
completely taken out with a rare rock. If you can come up with something as
common as water and then it will effect 100% of your powers 50% of the time
then I’ll let you have it. Weakness are meant to suck. The are not there for you to
like them. They are there so that there is balanced in this completely unbalanced
system.

1) Extra Arms:

- Can my force bolt be used all at once (Fire a burst attack) with all arms since my
character doesn't use guns?

- If my character isn't allowed to do a full burst attack with her force bolt, will she be
able to start off with multiple guns so that this ability is useful for her?

- The reason why I ask if the force bolt can be used in a burst round is because the
multiple arms isn't really useful for a blaster who's main weapon is an electrical force
bolt. Also her strength is only 2 (Which is appropriate for a blaster as she's not a tank),
but she doesn't have the strength nor dice pool to successfully grapple multiple
opponents, and keep a hold of them, which sort of defeats the purpose of the multiple
grapple bit. She's not a physical brawler but more so a long range attack character,
hence why I wonder how it'll be useful, and why the multiple arms thing was given?
(Mind you I'm not trying to belittle you, berate you, argue with you, try to twink out my
char, etc, just curious as to why and how this power can truly be useful for her role in the
group?)
- Can her multiple arms extend and stretch out past what a normal arm is capable of
reaching, and if so, how far can she reach with them?

- Do the electrical arms /always/ have to be visible as in a permanent fixture on my

char's body, or can I keep them hidden within me and call upon them when I choose?

Answer: In the rules that I gave you it said you can not take
extra attacks. So no. However a burst attack might be possible
WITH your force bolt. Let me look into it.
For the next bits, see Reasons 1, 2 and 3 above.
For the last bit.
No Stretching is a separate power.
Actually sure they do not have to be always out they can be
called out when needed.

2) Force Field:

- Can forcefield be given as armor points for another individual/myself, but still allow
them to fight and damage an enemy at the same time?

Yeah sure that’s fine.

3) Healing:

- Say if I have 6 dice in this roll and get 5 successes. Do I manage to heal 5 dots of
damage or just only one dot of damage no matter how many successes I get?

I did not write it as well as I could have, but…

You heal as many points as you get successes and do not get
ones to take away. You heal bashing first then lethal If you
spend a will power you heal aggravated but you need to do this
before you roll. And yes I know you healing pool is low, see
Reason number 3 above.

4) Bioluminescence:

- Can the area affect of this power be controlled as in lighting up an area less then the
max distance that I can?
- Can the 'flashlight' effect be controlled as well and stretch it less then the full effect, or
does it have to be the max distance?

Sure you can control the distance of it but it can not distract or
blind another person unless they are specially weak agents
light.

I have a few questions on merits:

1) Iron Stomach:

- Can this be changed to the 2 point merit: Striking Good Looks? I ask this because I see
that my presence is at lvl 3 and persuasion at lvl 2. Iron stomach for a blaster character
doesn't really seem to fit when my secondary strongest attribute is social.

See Reason 3 but after you do so, sure I’ll set you have striking
looks, but not because Iron Stomach is not good for a blaster
character and not because you have 3 presence and it would
help minimax that stat, but because it would be cool and I like
the idea.
2) Friend:

- Who exactly is this friend going to be and can I choose them myself or is this already
plotted out before hand?

I have a few ideas but what are yours? If I like your better I
may go with that.

I have a few questions about Flaws/Weaknesses:

1) Water, Rain, puddles, pools, etc.

- Will my power have a 50% chance of failure if I'm /in/ some kind of water, or will it fail
if I try to blast someone that's in water and I'm /outside/ of the water?

- How much water will it take to effect my powers? Will a little drizzle/fog/sweat/a single
droplet force them to have a 50% chance to fizzle out?

- Does the water have to actually touch my skin to affect my powers or can I just be
standing in a puddle of water with shoes on and it'll still affect my powers?

- I'm not sure about any form of water being a weakness as from what I've known all
throughout my life is that water is an incredible conductive source for electricity which
confuses me why it'd be a weakness and short out my powers? Please keep in mind that I
have no idea how electricity based powers work in After The Dark which is why I ask.

- Does my weakness for water affect /all/ my powers or just those that deal with
electricity? For example: Can I still fly out of water if I'm in it? Will it effect my Mega-
Attribute dexterity? Will it have a chance to prevent me from healing someone/myself,
etc?

- If possible I'd like to change my weakness/flaws to something else that makes a little bit
more sense and isn't as complicated for me to have to worry about. I have a /very/ basic
concept thought out but it's not complete. My concept is an orphan/runaway/street kid
sort of thing, but is not fully fleshed out as far as details. I was wondering if you could
help me come up with some other kind of weakness that would fit that sort of concept
better?

- If the weakness has to be water can the weakness be that it actually has to be a /decent/
amount of water that touches my flesh? (For example my char will wash her hands after
going to the bathroom. It would seem rather silly to have her powers have a 50% chance
not to work with only getting her hands wet as far as how /much/ water it'd take to affect
her.) Instead of it having a 50% chance of just fizzling out can it be a 50% chance of it
arching out of control, or say my character is in a pool while using her electrical powers,
and it winds up going wild and affecting everything within a certain distance/area
whether friend or foe? This to me makes a bit more sense for the water bit.

See Reason number 4 then after you do. If you come up with a
weakness that sucks as much as the one above then we can do
that. Everyone has a very very suck weakness in the Beta game
the only difference is most don’t know about it because it has
never come up.
