A paragraph of definition defines

a thing, a term, a person
Example of a paragraph of definition
Horticulture is a branch of agriculture concerned with
producing fruits, vegetables, flowers and ornamental
plants. Horticulture originally referred to small private plots
in which plants were cultivated; it differed from agriculture,
which pertained to the cultivation of fields. However, this
definition no longer hold. Horticulture now includes
orchards, ranches, plantations, glasshouses, plastic tunnels
– the whole sub-tropical, or temperate, in which plants may
be successfully grown. It is contrasted today with
agronomy. The distinction between the two is made largely
on the basis of the plant concerned, agronomy being
restricted to crops, such as grain, hay, and cotton, that
have been traditionally cultivated in large field. Hence,
there is the tendency to determine the classification in term
of the extent of the area rather than on the more precise
basis of the plant itself.

AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT
Agricultural development in a broad sense needs
continuous improvement. There are several reasons for this.
Firstly, its primary aim is to boost agricultural production
because increased food production will meet the need for
food and the requirements of domestic industries. Secondly,
this will also step up exports, increasing the earnings of
farmers and expand employment opportunities. Also,
improvements in the agricultural sector will support regional
development and intensify transmigration activities. Equally
important, agricultural development will lead to
industrialization which will ultimately create mass production
for the welfare of the whole society. Therefore, a strong
agricultural sector will work toward an economic balance.
