How to Use this Journal
This journal is divided into 90, 30, 7, and 1 day planning and tracking pages.
Here’s the breakdown of the process:

90 and 30 Day Macro Goals: The monthly and quarterly goals are your
macro goals.
7 and 1 Day Micro Goals: These steps get sorted into your daily and
weekly micro goals.

1. 90-Day Goals ~ Quarterly: Identify major goal or goals you want to

achieve in 90 days. We call these macro goals.
2. 30-Day Goal ~ Monthlies: Break down your 90 day monthly macro goal
into monthly goals or objectives needed to achieve your 90 Day Goal/s,
called “monthlies”.
3. 7-Day Goals ~ Weeklies: Break down your monthly goals into weekly
increments. We call these micro goals “weeklies”.
4. 1-Day Goals ~ Dailies: Break down your weekly micro goals into daily
action steps, called “dailies”.

Identifying and Setting Your Goals

1. Identify your top 1-3 goals you’d like to have done by the end of this
90-Day challenge. This could be one larger goal broken down into
monthly steps, or it could be three goals divided into one goal per
month. For each quarterly stint, you can vary your focus to suit the goal/s
you want to achieve.
2. Identify and plan your monthly goals needed to accomplish your 90-
Day Goal. (See How to Decide on page 112.)
3. Identify weekly action steps - micro goals - toward achieving each
monthly macro goal.
4. Identify daily micro goals toward achieving your weekly goals. The
action steps begun in step 3 become your weekly and daily micro goals.

Visual examples of goals for each segment are included on the following
pages.

IMPORTANT: Don’t worry. You don’t have to have this all figured out in
advance. This just begins the process, and is the first step in what will be a
steady process of refinement, testing, tweaking and adjusting.

IF you find it hard to start with the macro goals, then reverse it and start with
your daily and weekly micro goal/s. You can flesh out the macros as they
become more clear.

NOTE: This journal is 3, 4 week segments (i.e., 28 days). So the 30 & 90 day
increments are approximate.

pages. Visual examples will follow on subsequent pages.

REMEMBER: Don’t worry about perfection. The process of identifying macro

goals and breaking them down into weekly and daily micro goals is an
ongoing process of refinement. By the end of this 90 Day marathon you’ll be
better at setting and meeting realistic goals.

It is in the doing that the way becomes more clear. ~LeAura Alderson

Quotes of the Day: For inspiration and reflection.

Gratitude is essential for a success mindset. Identify one thing daily for
which you are grateful. A gratitude mindset is so critical to success and
happiness that we’ve dedicated two lines to this, so please give care and
thought to this daily.
My Weekly Goal is: Writing this daily sets your compass and focus for the
week.
My Goal Today is: This is where you establish the one most important goal
for the day.
Actions to Achieve Today’s Goal: Your breakdown of micro steps for the
day’s micro goal.
Other actions, tasks, notes and comments: for any other tasks,
comments, ideas, notes, etc.; because life beyond our focus goals, happens.
Plan Tomorrow: get ahead; fill out tomorrow’s goal at day’s end today. You
can tweak and refine it in the morning.

Day’s End: “Nightlies” ~ Nightly Reflections

What I Can Improve: kind but objective reflection, like a benevolent parent
or manager.
What Was Great About Today: remember to celebrate wins and praise
yourself too.
Vision Work: Train your subconscious. As you drift to sleep, begin to build
your mental vision of your goal achieved by end of this challenge. Add
elements, feelings, and associations to this nightly process toward making
your completed goal feel tangible and increasingly visually real in your mind.
Like going on a trip, imagine all that will be a part of that destination once
you’re there. Visualization is proven to work.

DAY 7’s - Week’s Recap ~ Day to rest, reflect, revive and plan the next
week’s goals.
DAILIES: Week 1, Day 1 Day: Mon Date: 10/1/17

DAY’S END:

What I can improve: I started other things first. I need to get my

day's goals done first thing instead. The research took longer than expected.

What was great about today: Having a plan helped me feel more clear,
focused and productive.

Good night. As you drift to sleep, mentally envision your quarter’s goal achieved.
Are you ready to get started?

Remember your eagerness to dive into this challenge to achieve your

goals, and refer to it if you get tired or discouraged.

I am eager to achieve my goals because:

I am going to make a very beautiful life for myself no matter what it

takes. I am destined for success. I will develop into a mature, smart

successful , beautiful, kind, confident, independent young lady.

Daily steps in the direction of your dreams is a proven path to success.

REFLECTIONS:
Your path may be lonely. But only in the beginning. Most are not willing to
put forth the work, the effort, the time. Friends will want you to go out and
play with them. That strengthens their choice to play, but weakens your
resolve to do… to be… to create.

Know that you’re not alone; that many people toil as you do, working hard for
a better life. Connect with those who reinforce your dreams… with those who
believe in you and your ability to achieve, even when you doubt yourself.

REFLECTIONS:
Each day is a new beginning, a new opportunity to strive for excellence.
Don’t let the pitfalls of the past weigh you down. Getting up from failure
makes us stronger.

Failure is not a bad word; It’s how we learn.

Each step towards your goal, even if it’s 15 minutes organizing your space,
helps you create your artistic flow.

Many of the “great” creatives, from past and present, attribute their success
to daily habits. Showing up even when the going gets tough, and instead of
“waiting” for the flow to arrive, they create. Daily. And this… becomes their
flow. They create it through daily practice.
24
It does not have to be the next big master piece. There is a story of a
pottery teacher who separated his students into two categories. One group
was told to work on just one project, making it perfect.

The other group was told to produce quantity (not focusing on quality).
Can you guess who produced the best AND most work?

The second group.

It’s the process of showing up each day to do your work that makes all the
difference.

Something Good:

Something to Improve:

REFLECTIONS:
Your mind is great tool when fed healthy thoughts. Darren Hardy, Founder
of SUCCESS magazine, shares the story of a glass filled with muddy water.
A teacher takes a pitcher of water and demonstrates to his student what
happens when he pours fresh, clean water into that glass. Eventually it
flushes out all murky water.

Darren goes onto say, that the glass represents your mind. The water
(muddy or clean) represents what your mind becomes depending on the
thoughts you choose.

We’re all affected by negative self talk, from time to time. Fear and doubt can
cloud your vision and stifle creativity. A super simple—but effective—strategy
is to replace one negative thought with one positive thought. A good place to
32 write this is in the daily comments section and Day 7 Reflections section.
For example, here are some common negative thoughts:
“I’m not a morning person.”
“My idea isn’t original. There are tons of others doing this.” (Especially after a
trip to the bookstore or an Amazon search).

Reframe:
“Waking up a little earlier each morning isn’t so hard.”
“An idea does not need to be original to be great. It just needs to be well
executed. Only I can write my stories.”

Now … Your turn :-)

REFLECTIONS:
Part of the success of a goals journal is in the daily accountability that comes
with writing your plan and then checking off your goals. The majority of
people who hire coaches, hire them for accountability.

Personal trainers train advanced athletes who could easily do their own
workouts. The athletes hire coaches for accountability and to keep on
learning and growing.

We can all benefit by:

1. Accountability - to help us stay on track
2. Growth - ongoing learning to improve our craft and next steps

Goals are about manifestation. You are doing and creating something that
hasn’t been created or done before. Even one word, one sentence in your
manuscript or article… one brush stroke on the canvas, one staff of music
written is creating something that wasn’t there before.

4 STEPS FROM GOAL TO SUCCESS:

1. Think it
2. Write it
3. Say it
4. Do it

Obviously this is simplified. But these are steps that help bring things to life.
Often, just sharing something with another helps to keep you accountable.
Saying it "out loud", takes it from the nether regions of vaguity and places it
in the ethers of effect; in other words, manifestation.
