I had conducted a secondary research by finding the journal articles for my following journal.

For the corporate

social responsibility (CSR), it was slightly easier to find the journal article to support my following research
compared to individual social responsibility (ISR). There are many examples of corporate social responsibility
carried out by companies or countries, rather than the main idea of corporate social responsibility in general.
Hence, it took me a while to find the articles as most articles of corporate and individual social responsibilities
are examples of corporate social responsibility carried out by countries and companies. For individual social
responsibility is harder to find as there are more examples compared to a holistic idea of individual social
responsibility.

With the help of google scholar, it increased the volume of research papers. In addition, google scholar enables
one to moderate the time period of the research papers or journals, which increase the relevancy and credibility
for my following research on corporate social responsibility. However, most articles found in google scholar are
paid content. With UB Library, it allowed me to access the articles and evaluate the relevance of the articles to
the topic of CSR and ISR. I did not use UB Library to find my sources as UB Library is broad and there is no
filter function to filter out the dates. Hence, it would be easier to use google scholar to find the sources and UB
library

For corporate social responsibility, I chose this journal, known as what we know and don’t know about
corporate social responsibility. Reason being, it gives a more holistic view of corporate social responsibility
compared to many journal articles, which are mere examples of corporate social responsibility carried out by
countries and companies. It encompasses the impact of corporate social responsibility, relationships between
corporate social responsibility and variable elements, such as people, price, place, and etc.

On the other hand, for the individual social responsibility, I chose a journal, known as Employees response to
corporate social responsibility. The term ‘individual’ is very vague. Hence, I chose this article, because it
showed and explained the general view of individuals. This research journal examined the effect of perceived
corporate social responsibility on employees’ attitudes and behaviors in South Asia. In addition, it explained
how CSR positively influenced employee’s organizational identification and knowledge-sharing behavior.

With these holistic views from the research journal, it allowed me to explore the root drives of corporate and
individual social responsibilities.
