Ingredients:

Olive oil (100 g)

Coconut Oil (60 g)

Canola (40 g)

Distilled Water (76 g)

Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) 28 g

Procedures:

1.) Wear long sleeves, goggles, and gloves before starting.


2.) Bring in a scale to the experiment area and set it to zero (0) with your container on top.
3.) Measure 28 g of lye.
4.) Measure 76 g of distilled water
5.) Measure 100 g of Olive oil
6.) Measure 60 g of coconut oil.
7.) Measure 40 g of canola.
8.) Take the measured ingredients to a place out of the children’s reach.
9.) Add the 28 g of lye to the 76g of distilled water.
10.) Stir the mixture carefully by using a spatula or whatever available instrument you have during
the experiment.
11.) Let the mixture (Procedure 9&10) cool to 27 °C
12.) Bring in an electric/gas stove and set it to low temperature.
13.) Mix the 100 g Olive oil, 60 g coconut oil, and 40 g canola and heat the mixture of oils altogether
to 27°C
14.) Pour in the lye-water mixture to the heated oils (Procedure 15).
15.) Mix/blend altogether the mixture until it slowly thickens.
16.) (Optional) Add your essential oils for fragrance.
17.) Pour your mixture into your chosen molds (in whatever forms/shapes your molder has).
18.) Divide the molds into the number of capacities your mixture can accommodate.
19.) Leave the molded soap undisturbed for 1 day (24 hours).
20.) After letting it hardened for 24 hours (1 day) or so, the soup is then ready to be
used/consumed after 30 days of letting it cure.
