What is
my
inquiry
about?
How can I implement
assessment practices which
align with 21st century
learning, empower students,
and support their wellbeing?”
WHY?

Past practices of Focus on

rote memorization, developing
task completion and 21st century
tests are no longer
skills.
adequate.
GOALS
• focus on learning not grades or
proficiency scale
• enhance student agency
• develop positive self-concept and self-
perceptions
• develop self-efficacy
GROWTH MINDSET

fixed
• effort can impact effort and
performance
• increased perseverance and
belief in own abilities
MOVING AWAY FROM
GRADES AND TESTING

• grades and testing can have • focus on learning

adverse impacts on students • focus on personal
• checklist to complete improvement and growth
• can increases stress and anxiety
• limits creativity and risk taking
LEARNING GOALS
