SYMMETRY

A shape has symmetry if a dividing line drawn at the


center shows that both sides of the shape are exactly
the same.
FRACTALS
- images where the same pattern occurs
repeatedly in different scales and sizes
SPIRALS
- a curved pattern that focuses on a center point and a
series of circular shapes that revolve around it.

The problem assumes the following conditions:

▪ Begin with one male rabbit and female rabbit that


have just been born.

▪ Rabbits reach sexual maturity after one month.

▪ The gestation period of a rabbit is one month.

▪ Female rabbits give birth every month.

▪ A female rabbit gives birth to one male rabbit and


one female rabbit.

▪ Rabbits do not die.


Real rabbits don't breed as Fibonacci hypothesized,
but his sequence still appears frequently in nature.
You can find it, for example, in plants, in the family
tree of bees, and in the turns of natural spirals.
The Fibonacci Sequence is:

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34,


55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610…

How is the next number found?


Each term in the sequence is called a Fibonacci
number. The first term can be written as Fib(1),
the second term as Fib(2), and so on. Hence,

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, . . .

Find the value of the following:

Fib (7) + Fib (3) = 13 + 2 = 15

3/2 = 1.5
5/3 = 1.67
8/5 = 1.6
13/8 = 1.625

89/55 = 1.618
As the terms get larger, the answer converges
to………… the Golden Ratio!
