Methodology
The study considers secondary data which comes from different published sources like internet,
magazine etc. Leather industry is a very crucial and thriving sector in our economy. Our
variables are export data and GDP rate. We can get information that how much we are dependent
on it, how it is contributing in our economy and how efficient we are in dealing with this
industry produced product trading. Positive sign of this industry will attract the foreign investors,
help eradicate unemployment problem and turn our country as a developed country.

Variables of this experiment

A variable is any characteristics, number, or quantity that can be measured or counted. A


variable may also be called a data item. Age, sex, business income and expenses, country of
birth, capital expenditure, class grades and vehicle type are examples of variables. But here in
this study, the assumed variables are:
 Profit
 Export Amount
 Domestic Demand
 Growth Rate of this sector
 Contribution to GDP Growth Rate etc.

Application of statistical measurements


Statistical measurements are mainly of two types: (1) Numerical Measurements & (2) Graphical
Measurements.
Numerical Measures:
1. Mean
2. Median
3. Mode
4. Measures of Location
5. Variance & Standard Deviation
6. Skewness and Kurtosis

Graphical Measures:

1. Bar and Pie Chart


2. Histogram and Frequency Polygon
3. Dot plots
4. Box Plots & Stem and Leafs
The outcome of conducting this experiment would be to have an experience of applying
statistical tools on real life events as well as knowing one of the Bangladesh’s most thriving
sectors present situation. We believe that the information we will get after conducting the aimed
report will help us logically anticipate the growth trend of Bangladesh Leather Industry in the
