PERSONAL ARCHITECTURAL TREASE

Architecture is an art and science of a building that includes three fundamental elements – delight,
commodity, and firmness. Simultaneously coexisting together, the fundamental triad fulfills the purpose
of good architecture by giving us a sustainable life living. Often perceived as a cultural form of art,
architecture has to be ethical, serve the public needs, and have a meaning and purpose. Many aspects
and details have to be taken into consideration when it comes to good architecture. For that purpose,
architects need to be well educated and have enough knowledge in other fields related to the
architecture of the buildings.

Architecture constantly changes and evolves, especially with the advanced building technologies that
people create in the 21st century. As new generation architects, we need to do our best to build
sustainable cities that serve their community, by placing people's needs and well-being at its core. By
creating sustainable, useful, and delightful architecture we can improve the environmental health of our
planet, which directly corresponds with the well-being of human beings. Besides making architecture
sustainable, I think it is very important to keep a balance with all three aspects of a building design, such
as esthetics, firmness, and commodity. Which does not necessarily have to be even, it has to balance
and fulfill each other. Nowadays, it requires generalist architects or a team of specialists, that
collaborate with each other, to build delightful, meaningful architecture. And I’m hoping that our future
generation of architects are going to put their efforts in building ethical, aesthetically pleasing as well as
sustainable architecture, to help our environment and people’s health.
