Topic: My best friend.
Hello everyone, my name is Quan. I’m ten years old. I’m in class 4A1 at Thuy Hoa Primary
School. In my free time, I like reading books and playing sports. In the future, I would like to
become an English teacher because I love English and I love children. I read a short quote in a
book a few days ago saying that “the greatest gift of life is friendship”, and I have received it.
Among my friends, I cherish Linh the most. Today, I would like to tell you about her. 

Well, I met Linh when we were in grade one in the same class. We sit next to each other and
so do we now. She is the same age as me and she is very pretty with a lovely, round face and
beautiful dark brown eyes. Linh is medium height with long, black hair and it looks quite silky.
She likes to wear casual jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers for the sake of comfort. She is in a good
shape and she looks sporty in this kind of fashion. 

Linh and I have many hobbies and interests in common. We spend lots of time being together
and doing many things together such as rope skipping, listening to music, watching cartoons, and
playing hide and seek. Linh is a good cook. She can cook very yummy food and she sometimes
asks me to come round to her family and enjoy the food together. We both like fried chicken the
most. We sometimes go on a picnic together at the weekend or during the summer vacation. We
took lots of photos, visited many places, and had a lot of fun. At school, we are a great team. We
usually help each other with homework assignments. There are some subjects in that Linh is
much better than I am, so she will always happy to become my tutor, and vice versa. We always
keep learning from one another to become better people.

Well, Linh has a great sense of humor. She always finds the funny sides of life tells jokes to
make other people laugh. Because of that, she can get along well with others. So, everyone loves
her and likes being with her. 

Above all, there is one thing I like the best about her. It is that she is really sympathetic to
others. She understands and cares about others’ problems and suffering. I can always turn to her
for advice when I have some difficulties. She will always be there for me when I am down in
life. I think that to create a bonding and true friendship, people need to get through a really hard
time as an old saying goes, “Hard time will always reveal true friends”. 

I think that I have found my true friend and I am so grateful for having such a good friend like
her. I hope that our friendship will last forever.
