A re-emerging landmark dedicated to healing and unity:
America’s Black Holocaust Museum reopens on Friday, February 25th

MILWAUKEE-After years of planning and rebuilding, America’s Black Holocaust Museum

(ABHM) will reopen its doors on Friday, February 25, 2022, the birthdate of its late founder, Dr.
James Cameron. ABHM is located at 401 W. North Avenue in Milwaukee, WI. The museum will
re-emerge as a cultural cornerstone in Milwaukee’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood, just
north of downtown.

The reopening of the museum is made possible by community leaders, volunteers and
generous donors and grand reopening sponsors including JP Morgan Chase Bank, Network
Health, Herb Kohl Philanthropies, Rockwell Automation, Molson Coors, Saint Kate-The Arts
Hotel, Greater Milwaukee Foundation, and PNC Bank.

“We’re excited to be a part of a team that is helping unveil ABHM’s doors to the public once
again,” said Andy Keller, Executive Director, Market Manager, J.P. Morgan Private Bank. “Not
only will this be the revival of the museum, but it will also be a part of the revitalization of the
Bronzeville community, supporting economic growth and cultural vitality, and creating a
brighter future for everyone.”

“It is such an honor to partner with America’s Black Holocaust Museum and to celebrate the
reopening of this important and impactful museum” said Coreen Dicus-Johnson, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Network Health. “Network Health’s mission is to create healthy and
strong Wisconsin communities and by learning from our past we can shape a stronger future.”

“At a time of hyperpolarization, we are in dire need of safe spaces and opportunities created to
bring us together to explore difficult issues, to learn, and to celebrate our history,” said Dr.
Robert “Bert” Davis, President and CEO of America’s Black Holocaust Museum.
“The reemergence of the museum’s physical space is critical at this time for Bronzeville,
Milwaukee and nationally. The work that we are doing now, in these tumultuous times, is
among the most important work to engage in, both collectively and individually.”

The museum is open and free to the public during its opening day Friday February 25 th from
10:00AM-5:00PM thanks to a generous donation from the Herb Kohl Philanthropies. After
