1.0 PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is to provide the instructions and define the
responsibilities of the administration of Technology Precision and Quality Saudi for
Trading & Cont. (QTech) Radiation Safety Program. It sets for the requirements for
the shipment, storage and use of radioactive materials by qualified company
personnel.

2.0 SCOPE

2.1 The requirements contained herein are subject to change based on revisions and
clarifications issued by the Regulatory Authority, King Abdullah City for Atomic and
Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE).
2.2 This procedure covers the minimum requirements for safe use to all personnel
handling ionizing radioactive materials (Ir-192 and Co-60) and X-ray machines
up to 800 KV.

2.3 This procedure does not cover the importation, exportation or disposal of the
radioactive sources but covers the requirements of their transportation.
