The document provides instructions for ascending and descending through a rope deviation. It describes ascending by bringing the lines through a spare carabiner above the deviation and then removing the lower carabiner to swing out and continue ascending. For descent, it instructs descending until level with the deviation, using a cows tail or strength to pull into the deviation, and placing the spare carabiner into both lines above the deviation before continuing down.
