S. We define youth empowerment as a process that encourages children and teenagers to take control of their life. They do so by first addressing their situation and then taking steps to enhance their access to resources and change their awareness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes. According to Philosophy, the following initiatives address concerns connected to political involvement and youth empowerment: (1) National Youth Commission, (2) Philippine Youth Development Plan, and (3) Sangguniang Kabataan. The National Youth Commission emphasizes providing leadership in the formulation of policies, as well as the setting of priorities and the direction of all youth promotion and development programs and activities; encouraging broad and active participation of the youth in all governmental and non-governmental programs, projects, and activities affecting them; harnessing and developing the full potential of the youth as partners in nation-building; and supplementing government assistance. The state also acknowledges the importance of kids in nation-building and will encourage and defend their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being. The Philippine Youth Development Plan provides an objective method of analyzing the position of Filipino youth, and it can inform and enhance the design and execution of youth development policies in the Philippines. And the final existent program, the Sangguniang Kabataan, must promulgate resolutions required to carry out the objectives of the youth in the Barangay in line with the relevant provisions of this code. Initiate initiatives to improve the members' social, political, economic, cultural, intellectual, moral, spiritual, and physical growth. Hold fund-raising activities, the proceeds of which shall be tax-exempt and shall accrue to the general fund of the Sangguniang Kabataan; provided, however, that in the appropriation thereof, the specific purpose for which such activity was held shall first be satisfied; and establish such bodies or committees as it may deem necessary to effectively carry out its programs and activities. Youth empowerment has the potential to significantly reduce poverty rates. Skill development is one of the cornerstones of empowering adolescents. When a young person is endowed with basic skills, he or she may use them to feed themselves, help others, and even invest for the future, benefiting the country economically.
