When students approach the final stage of their formal education, they will all have to make an extremely

important
choice. They have to choose what discipline to learn in college. Some …
I believe that it is best for each and every student to just pursue the discipline that they feel like pursuing, instead of just
following others blindly. And allow me to explain.
First, I must admit that there is a reason that a lot of students are opting for just the disciplines that most people choose in
college. That’s obviously because
- More job opportunities
- Reason trendy => a variety of jobs in the market that requires their employees to possess the qualifications that
specifically suit that job. These jobs are high-paying, and chances of promotion are high.
=> They can find more chances for themselves to find a job. If you focus on learning English, you can easily get a job that
has to do with international affairs, and if you study technology, you can later participate in tech research, things like
develop computers, softwares, which I’m sure will be very lucrative in the future.
- It could also because idk, it is easier to learn the popular disciplines, because the more popular something is, the more
people invest into researching it, and that means it will be easier for students to find the learning materials they need for
the process of well, studying.

However, from my perspective, the best choice for students is most of the time, follow their own ambitions, and just do
what they want to do.
1st benefit:
- doing sth that you like to do is a great way to motivate yourself. Motivation is extremely important on the road to
success. when you are motivated, the chances of you being able to stand up after experiencing failure are higher than
when you’re just doing something that you don’t like that much.
- if you actually enjoy the discipline that you are studying, you can become a lot more active during the process of
learning.
And that’s because well, you probably have spent your whole pre-college years learning something about that discipline
as a hobby, perhaps.
2nd benefit:
- it helps you a lot in the long run, it helps you not just in college, but also in your life, and in your career
- let’s make a comparison here.
+ when a student is learning something that they are not particularly interested in, -> will make the learning envi much
more stressful. And it is also because that it is trendy -> highly competitive in studies and job. There is a lot of
competition => studies get very serious, and it may put the student under a lot of pressure.
+ when they choose to study in a field that has their interest, it will be a lot easier for them to carry that very ambition
throughout the whole four or five years in college. And they won’t even have to worry about competition too much,
because if later in their life
+ Lose learning motivation: competitive environment, do not know self ambition => lack motivation to devote to learning
=> low academic performances
There are of course, both a good side, and bad side to gaming. And which side influences children more depends largely
on how they game. I think it’s important for children to know how they can approach gaming the correct way, and use it
to their advantage. Let me explain why.
Let us start with the bad side of video games.
- some students (not all of them of course) are spending way too much time playing these games
+ in the past, they used to spend their free time around the playgrounds, outdoors, in the open air, enjoying life the way it
should be enjoyed. Now, a lot of today’s children are spending time indoors, sitting in front of a computer. They are in the
age when their mental as well as physical
