Problem Statement Objectives

The document outlines three problem statements for proposed studies on: 1) Assessing the effectiveness of a teaching program on nurses' knowledge of non-pharmacological management of chemotherapy side effects. 2) Determining the prevalence of Restless Leg Syndrome among nurses and how it correlates with their characteristics. 3) Evaluating the impact of a teaching program on nursing students' knowledge and practices of surgical asepsis. The objectives for each study are provided to assess pre-and post-test knowledge and skills, effectiveness of the teaching interventions, and relationships between the topics and participant demographics.

  • How does quantum computing actually work in simple terms?

Quantum computing is a branch of computing that uses the laws of quantum mechanics to process information in fundamentally new ways.

  • How do my kidneys work to clean my blood each day?

The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located in the lower back that play a crucial role in filtering and cleaning the blood.

  • What is a magnetic field and how does it work?

A magnetic field is a fundamental concept in physics that describes the influence exerted by magnets and moving electric charges. It is one part of the electromagnetic field, the other part being the electric field. In simple terms, a magnetic field can be thought of as an invisible force field that extends through space and affects magnetic materials and moving charges. At each point, the field has both a strength (magnitude) and a direction, making it what mathematicians call a vector field.

  • Problem Statement 2: Explores the prevalence of Restless Leg Syndrome among nurses and its varying intensities.
  • Problem Statement 1: Assesses the effectiveness of a teaching program on non-pharmacological management of nausea and vomiting in oncology nurses.
  • Problem Statement 3: Examines the effectiveness of a structured teaching program on surgical asepsis among nursing students.
  • Cover Page: Title page for the presentation of problem statements by the Faculty of Nursing.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

“A study to assess the effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on

knowledge regarding non-pharmacological management of nausea and vomiting in
patients undergoing chemotherapy, among staff nurses working in oncological
units of selected hospitals in Guwahati.”

OBJECTIVES:

 To assess the pre test knowledge regarding non-pharmacological

management of nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing
chemotherapy among staff nurses
 To assess the post test knowledge regarding non-pharmacological
management of nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing
chemotherapy among staff nurses
 To assess the effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme
regarding non-pharmacological management of nausea and vomiting
in patients undergoing chemotherapy among staff nurses
 To find the association between the knowledge regarding non-
pharmacological management of nausea and vomiting in patients
undergoing chemotherapy, among staff nurses working in oncological
units in selected hospitals in Guwahati with their variables.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

“A study to assess the prevalence of Restless Leg Syndrome among nurses in

selected hospitals in Guwahati.”

OBJECTIVES:

 To assess the prevalence of Restless Leg Syndrome among nurses

 To find out the prevalence of Restless Leg Syndrome along with its
varying intensities that is severe, moderate, mild, or none in nurses
 To find the association between prevalence of Restless Leg Syndrome
among nurses with their selected variables
PROBLEM STATEMENT

“A study to assess the effectiveness of a Structured Teaching Programme on

knowledge and practices regarding surgical asepsis among 2 nd and 3rd year B.Sc
nursing students in selected colleges in Guwahati.

OBJECTIVES:

 To assess the pre-test knowledge regarding surgical asepsis among 2 nd

and 3rd year B.Sc nursing students
 To assess the pre-test practice regarding surgical asepsis among 2 nd
and 3rd year B.Sc nursing students
 To assess the post-test knowledge regarding surgical asepsis among
2nd and 3rd year B.Sc nursing students
 To assess the post-test practice regarding surgical asepsis among 2 nd
and 3rd year B.Sc nursing students
 To assess the effectiveness of a Structured Teaching Programme on
knowledge and practices regarding surgical asepsis among 2nd and 3rd
year B.Sc nursing students
 To find the correlation between knowledge and practice regarding
surgical asepsis among 2nd and 3rd year students.
