Part 1 - Lines
Lab - Lines
Use your textbook, Google, or other resources to complete the following.

Part 1 - Lab Grade Rubric is on slide 10

Define a Line -

State the equation of a line in slope intercept form -

Define slope -

Define y-intercept -
Choose a famous linear shape from another country.
Choose a global structure that has some meaning to you. (Outside of the United States)

Use Desmos to draw a graphical representation of the image.

1. Copy and paste the image and url onto slide 5.


2. Graph the image in Desmos using only lines.
3. Copy and paste the image and Desmos url on slide 5 next to the actual image.

Example on slide 4.

Must have at least 10 different lines graphed. At least 4 of the lines must have a slope that is
not 0 or not undefined. No tables can be used to create graphs.

Choose an image that you can create with only lines, no other shapes.

image and the graph of your structure.

Submit to Moodle
1. Download as a pdf. Click on File → Download → PDF document (.pdf). You
can save to desktop then upload to Moodle. Note that if you are in the school
computer lab, it will not save to the computer for more than one day.

2. Log into Moodle and click on the Discussion - Ch1 Article link.

3. Upload the created pdf document and click Submit.
